Maybe an internet forum is not the right place to talk about something that personal to you.
It was called ‘The Vent Thread.’ The whole point is to let people, well, vent their frustrations without being judged.
If it was a place which applies the rules evenly i would tend to agree even if i still would disagree with the punishment. But as it is with all threads on there, if you don’t have a correct opinion they will gladly ignore people being douche bags.

Why are people so invested in Badheart lacking a bit of empathy?
As for a Vent Thread, I feel such a thread should be for expressing frustration and anger, if people want empathy then there ought to be a thread for that specifically, like a “Consolation Thread”or an “Emotional Support Thread”.

As far I remember, the main reason why Derpibooru lacks a block or user filter button is because The Smiling Pony and his team, being the control freaks they are, were horribly paranoid about giving derpi users access to something that could potentially be used to block and ignore them as well.
Hell, The Smiling Pony himself used to lash out and threaten users who as much discussed the idea of filter out unpleaseant users by installing custom browser extensions with that option.

But a thing I have noticed is that most people who are against the “block” feature in some way have a tendency to be the kind of people you would see blocked a lot. And also have no shame about using it themselves.

TSP and his staff are some grade A+ assholes who can’t even tolerate each other, so it goes without saying they would be afraid of giving anyone the chance to protect themselves from their asshatery.
To top it off, TSP is autist so the idea of other people not reading what he says to them should be enough to drive him crazy with rage.

which is why their babble on being inclusive is a load of bullshit. The people with the right worldview could gloat about someone they do not like being injured or worse and that is somehow not a rule breaker. They are just sanctimonious assholes and do not care to hide it anymore and the peasants should just to as they are told and take the abuse from their betters.

If that site goes down they will try to come here and claim it for themselves, as many of them already tried in the past.
So for everyone’s sake, let’s hope that derpibooru continues working fine for many more years so the locals and their special brand of sickness could keep being confined in there.

No. It would be more fun to watch them piss and moan and not be allowed to get their way like on derpibooru. They only say what they want because they can get away with it. It is why if anyone snarks back they are the ones banned because how dare you mock the privileged elite. Most will come and try and then leave like many left DB for not getting their way back when DB had morals and did not have double standards.

Honestly, if not T E C H N I C A L L Y , a block button would solve a lot of problems for users whom don’t want to interact with or fight/argue with certain users and would save the nosey mods from getting involved in arguments and flamewars they have no business in. It would prevent more fighting and take the weight of dealing with flamewars off the mod’s backs!
Why they’re so against it and why it was never implemented in the first place, I have no fucking idea.

Frankly i am of the opinion that the block function is one of the worst inventions there is. It lead to much of the problems we have on social media as people just bury themselves into echo chambers by blocking any and all opposing views instead of learning how to deal with them.

Some people really cannot understand that you don’t want to talk to them and will chase you around, angry as fuck and screaming how they want to talk to you no matter if you don’t want to.
Other people will chase you around to try to pick fights over every little thing you do or say and will not leave you alone no matter how many times you ask them to stop pestering you around.
Then we have people who go around begging for favors and freebies to whatever people that catches their attention, acting as if the other guy had the obligation to be their personal slave, and will never accept a no for an answer no matter how many times you try.
And finally we have people that will try to correct whatever stance or opinions you may have about something, and will not stop harrasing you until you agree with their own stances or opinions no matter how many times you ask them to mind their own business.
When you deal with people who lack even the most basic sense of logic, empathy and manners, a block button is the only way to be free of pests like them.
