More crystal war timeline characters, this time it’s the dragons turn.
 
Dark lord Ember: The daughter of dragon lord Torch, when Sombra went to the dragonlands in order to get the dragons to join his side ; he noticed how Ember didn’t get along with her father, her will to prove her strength and to be the next dragon lord, so he went to her and little by little, day after day, he managed to make her see thing his way, he convinced her that his father refused to chose a new dragon lord because he was afraid to lose his power, that he was trying to make the dragons weak and sell them to Celestia ; with a little push of dark magic to play on her fears and anger, she finally ran away from dragonlands and joined king Sombra.
 
As Ember was only a young dragon, Sombra used his powers to make her age rapidly and reach Torch age and size ; the dark magic that made her grew older also altered her abilities, she was now able to see perfectly in the dark and her firebreath was made of green flames that could burn even a dragon scales and were very hard to put out, even with water.
 
When Torch learned what happened to his daughter, he declared war on the crystal empire and ordered all the dragons to join Celestia, which is exactly what Sombra expected, as dragon and ponies have radicaly opposed ways of thinking, it took them a lot of time to learn to work together, and during this time where Celestia army was disorganized, Sombra won a lot of battles. Also if most dragons remained faithful to Torch, some thought that Ember was more suited to be dragon lord and makes them strong and followed her.
 
Ember was eventually killed at the end of the war, during the siege of Canterlot, by her father.
 
Dragon lord Torch: An old friend of princess Celestia who fought alongside her against Tirek 1000 years ago. 
If he could never make an aliance between dragons and ponies, as dragons would never accept such a thing and would have deposed him, he alway did his best to maintain peace between dragonlands and equestria.
 
When the war started, not being able to join Celestia side, he chose to stay neutral in this conflict ; it was also time for him to retire and chose a new dragon lord, but he decided to stay, as the dragons needed an experienced ruler during these troubled times. 
His face was severly burned during a fight against Ember.
 
Paladin squad: The paladin squad was created in order to fight and kill dragons who have joined king Sombra. 
It’s members were choosen amongst younger dragons for their agility and small size and were trained to kill other dragons and even a dragon lord ; for this purpose, they were given suit of armor that could resist the strongest fire and weapons that could pierce a dragon’s scales.
 
Their leader was a dragon named Garble who initialy joined the squad beacause he was specificaly told not to by his family, he eventualy enjoyed the life of a soldier as it tamed his rebelious nature and gave him a way to express agressivity, he showed great fighting skills and made his way to the top of his team, also even if he still didn’t like them, he was nicer and less aggresive to ponies after he fought alongside them. He was killed by Ember during the siege of Canterlot, shortly before she was herself defeated by Torch.
 
If the squad had a lot of members at the beggining, Garble was the only one still alive during the siege of Canterlot, at the end of the war.
