Looks like this is my first ever Equestria Girls upload. Interesting.

Made Trix here as an experiment in redesigning EQG to look less…proportionally insane…while also getting rid of the weird pastel skin, or furry-skin, or whatever you headcanon the unnatural skin tones to be a result of.

Kept the face mostly the same as the original EQG style to maintain familiarity (and dodge uncanny valley), though things really changed in the details: Eyes were shrunk a little, nose was enlarged, eyebrows were added, and the actual head shape was changed to be more realistic. Also tweaked the hairstyle to avoid the classic EQG fivehead.

The body is where the biggest changes came. The torso…is actually sized correctly to accommodate bodily functions now, the legs were cut down to no longer be stilts, the arms and hands were beefed up to be less doll-like, and the feet are a little more defined. And in relation to the body, the head was shrunk so as to not account for nearly a quarter of the entire body mass.

The outfit I kept the same as it originally was, though with some changes to the bottom. The typical EQG boots were swapped out for regular sneakers, and the skirt was swapped out for some sweatpants. Considering this is Trixie though, that last one was probably a misstep in design. I’ll give her back a skirt when I ultimately vectorize this (this version I need to just get uploaded for the event). For now we’ll just say it was a chillier day and wearing a skirt wouldn’t cut it for her. (I also didn’t want to have to figure out the full leg anatomy yet.)

“Natural coloration” came mainly down to personal interpretation on the skin, and a mix of that and referencing her original/pony colors on the eyes and hair. Trixie’s one that I feel would have pretty light skin, so I just went with that. The blonde hair is because there’s pretty much no other way to match how light her pony hair is without making her go gray/white in her teens. The eyes were tough though; her pony eyes are a sort of pinkish-purple color, which doesn’t easily map to a real-world eye color, since it could sway both brown or blue. I ultimately went with blue due to the general coloration sitting a bit closer to blue on the spectrum.

Good grief that’s a lot of words. Anyways, with all that said and done, if you’re still here, I’m just gonna reiterate that this was all an experiment; Any critiques on the style would be much appreciated!

I want feedback. Especially since this piece isn’t technically done and stuff can still be changed before the final version.
