Tepe (Stripes in Swahili) is a zebra stallion from the village of Jumuiya. He is a hard-working farm laborer and forager, providing food to his village and for his sisters, Thamani Muziki and Fadhila, whom he both highly values. He is the primary source of income and the elder to his tiny of three family after the death of their parents and relatives. He has high interest with Equestrian culture and literature and is often seen reading books in his freetime, earning him admiration from adults and teasing from foals who gave him the nickname ‘Knowledge scavanger’. His wanderlust is unknown to everyone including his sisters and friends.
 
A subject of favoritism by his employer, he was given the chance to spend travel the world, allowing him and his sisters to travel in a week-long vacation.
 
He disappeared after he and his sisters are caught in a lion ambush as they were traveling back to Jumuiya after vacation, the green scarf he bought was the only thing found during efforts to find him.
