that is interesting to hear, i’ve honestly never interacted with LGBTQ people IRL so i can’t say what they’re like but i can see a toxic part of the community abusing it to be dicks without consequences. but like with any other community i would assume that’s only a loud minority and doesn’t define the entire thing.

The same people who propagate this stuff were, and still are, more than willing to “be a dick about stuff they dislike”. Why shouldn’t we? Telling them to “use your filters and let people enjoy things” clearly didn’t work, or we wouldn’t be here.

We are so sick of the pride things, of the LGBTQ+-xY2BK²HCI community, of cannot say anything millimetrically against them without getting a thousand insults, of how they spit in our faces and they expect us to swallow it and ask for forgivness, of the forced inclusion, of hollow OCs only made based in the pride flags, of the cries from people who want safe spaces, etcetera. So, if I can depise a single image giving it a sad dislike to quit the bitter taste this abecedary community leave in all of us, then why not?  
You also mention Just because you have the freedom to be a dick about stuff you dislike doesn’t mean you should be. But apparently, the abecedary community is immune to this affirmation. They want, they can, and they are dicks most of the time in public during the Pride Month. Heck, even there’s homosexuals who don’t wanna be associated with the abeceday community, but I’m drifting away from the theme, so I’ll stop here.

I don’t know how an artist could go through the entire process of sketching, lineart, coloring, and (very basic) shading THAT THING without ever thinking, “Hm. Maybe this looks a bit silly.”

Fuck pride month! Fuck it and all these made up sexualities!
