Indeed. It’s where it’s not treated as “just another thing”, but rather a giant spotlight is put on it.

I’m trying to understand why inclusions of “modern” culture and tech in media, particularly children’s media, upsets me so. At first I thought I might just be getting old and crabby (a very real possibility), but Ducktales has been referencing that shit left and right and it hasn’t bothered me even a little. So far I can only conclude that it’s usually included as cringey and obtrusive to the world as possible in sad attempt to relate to “dem kids”. It kind of reminds me when media when I was growing up kept trying to include rap into everything.
