Ok so i know this is another one of my weird ass ships but like here me out………. volatile wives who get really soft for their kids………..
 
Anyway so Limestone and Ember didn’t actually meet in that weird of a way Ember and Maud are actually really good friends! Maud goes to the dragonlands a lot to study the geology of the area and sometimes she just asks her sisters to come along or visit her, Pinkie is usually the one who tags a lot but Limestone is actually really interested in the sedemetary and sulfur deposits of the dragonlands. She spends a trip there on Maud’s dime and gets to know a lot of the more sulfur and other rock specialized dragons like charcoal but somehow got caught up with the dashing dragonlord ember while asking questions about an interesting formation of siltstone and chalk. The two kind of hit it off? Theyre bothvery standoffish and shouty and that would make you think that neither would be very good for eachother but Ember was taken full stop by Limestones attatude as having a mean streak is supringly attractive to dragons and Limestone, after spending a decent amout of time with normal dragon’s was actually extremely flattered by the Dragonlord’s clear advances. Ember is a lot softer with Lime as she’s pretty used to ponies by now but they both really make their relationship work with a lot of play fighting and laughing at the end of the day, they never let themselves go to sleep unhappy. This pic is of them and their first child Chrysoberyl who is very adamant about doing some lava swimming to Lime’s suprise.
