Thought I’d upload this as a ref and combine all the info I have on her here as well as add the stuff I haven’t talked about yet, lol
Night Glider is the daughter of a pegasus and one of Luna’s royal guard members.
She is a bat pony/pony hybrid. One wing is a mixture of feathers and bat wings, and the other is a regular pegasus wing with bright plumage, similar to a Blue Jay’s wings.
This gave her troubles when she first was learning to fly, but ended up being an advantage for her when she mastered flying. She found it was easier to maneuver around with a bat wing, and that it’s very aerodynamic to have both a bat and pegasus wing.
When she was young, she practiced with both her mom and dad to learn different flying techniques, as they knew she would have trouble flying with two different wings. She practiced with her mom and night and her dad in the morning, due to him having to work at night.
They didn’t expect her to be able to fly at all, let alone as good as she does, and she earned her cutie mark when she honed these flying skills.
Besides that, she had a pretty normal life until she decided to move to a little town out in the middle of nowhere.
She made a lot of friends, but most notably grew close to 3 other ponies; Party Favor, Double Diamond, and Sugar Belle. These 4 were inseparable and had fun exploring each other’s talents together. Night glider helped Double Diamond with his snowboarding and made the experience more fun for the both of them, Party favor and Sugar Belle baked tons of new and different treats for the townsfolk.
Party Favor and Sugar Belle tried to teach Night Glider and Double Diamond to bake and cook but they just couldn’t ever catch on, and the same for the other way around.

What started out as a normal town was turned into a cult by one of the residents named Sunburst. She, as well as her friends, didn’t ever believe in his ideologies but were fearful of what would happen if they didn’t.
The misery of everyday living weighed on her and her friends greatly, and it seemed like there weren’t ever going to get out of it until the mane 6 stopped by. They helped them in the endevour to reform the town and the rest is history.
During that time, She befriended Rainbow dash. Rainbow and Night Glider had kept in contact with each other, forming a sort of friendly rivalry between themselves. They often practiced together and Rainbow even encouraged her to try out for the Wonderbolts, seeing the skill and potential she had.
Glider flunked out of her first attempt, but her and Rainbow continued to train with each other to hone her skills.
During this time, Rainbow had her encounter with Wind Rider, exposing him for framing her for what he did, just because he didn’t want her to beat his old record.
Both Rainbow and Glider had looked up to him, and it was a real blow to both of them to find out that he was the way he was.
But, even though Rainbow didn’t have anyone new to look up to, Night Glider found herself looking up to her friend.
With more encouragement, Glider passed her test and eventually does become a Wonderbolt ( the first non-equestrian pony wonderbolt at that), but it was delayed for a while because of an “Unexpected pregnancy.”
Rainbow and Glider had grown more close to each other as time went on, and eventually they had relations with each other that ended up with Glider Pregnant.
She had their child, and Rainbow picked out their name for them, Iridescence.
Rainbow and Glider’s relationship stayed strong afterwards, but was something they never categorized as “dating” or “a relationship.” They preferred to not have a label for what they had together.
They had joint custody of Iridescence, and things have always been positive between the two.
During Glider’s time as a Wonderbolt, she met fellow Wonderbolt High Winds. The two immediately hit it off and were the best of friends, and after a while, they eventually started
dating, and High Winds now resides in Our Town with Glider.
