Been in the workings for ages, but finally here! Made myself a proper MLP Kirin OC, AND even made it FoE exclusive because I’m smarts that way.
 
After my ramble about MLP Kirins in FoE, I finally used some of those ideas for myself, just to have an example. And for RP shenanigans.  
Gory Whisper here used to be a regular Kirin hiding away in their secret valley. Desperately trying to keep the plants and nature alive to ensure their survival, a little pocket of living nature in the aftermath of the megaspell. But as resources dwindle, the valley can’t keep feeding everyone. A general punishment for anything is easily escalated to banishment, to save on resources. The one banished given a dip in the Stream of Silence, as a pact that will not reveal the secrets of the valley, to avoid travelers coming to look for their limited resources.  
Whisper here was one of such kirins, kicked out to fend for themselves. Didn’t take long until they ran into the locale surviving Silent Kirins outside the valley, turned cannibals and raiders to survive the much harsher world outside the safe valley. To survive Whisper earned themselves the name Gory, joining the raider ranks.
 
Eventually they broke up from their current gang to head out and explore the Wasteland. They were quite understanding of their banishment and didn’t wish to join the fights of those trying to return to the valley. Still with their new habits picked up from the raiders, and only meeting ponies for the first time outside the valley, they are still classified as raider as they don’t feel much sympathy for ponies. They are not kirins after all, might as well add their meat to the rations. They’ll take what they need to survive, while exploring the world for anywhere safe to settle down. Being made mute and inexpressive, it’s too much of a hassle to try and communicate with strangers.  
Their travel companion, Kerosene, simply tagged along uninvited and Gory quickly gave up the effort trying to communicate to the halfbrain to leave them alone.
