Yup. That’s me. You’re probably wondering how I got in this situation. Well, it began a sunny day here in this new Pokémon world. After spending a life in Equestria and just finding out about this place, my curiosity quickly got fired up with all the interesting things that were all over this world. Then, my new friend 8 mentioned something about a sunken treasure, placed at the bottom of a great lake. That got my big eyes shining. I set off to find that treasure and bring it home; it wasn’t much for the treasure itself, but rather for the thrill of the adventure…

After a while trotting and taking in the scenery, I finally make it to the lake. Crystal clear, not a single trace of Pokémon or those humans. I may have gotten strong lungs after so many times playing with Delphina, but sometimes you just gotta play it safe. I pull out a rebreather 8 borrowed me and I head down into the depths of the lake.

Using my horn to shine some light ahead of me, I easily find the treasure. A small wooden chest amongst the remains of a small boat. I swim as fast as I can towards the chest and I fasten it to my waist, using some rope. Anyone would think that the chest is abandoned, right? I mean… it’s by a wreck and it’s at the bottom of the lake, Sounds logic, right?

As it turns out, it’s definitely not abandoned.
Not even a couple meters swimming upwards when a rubbery something presses at my back, quickly engulfing me. When it reaches my face, it rips off my rebreather and I catch as much breath as I can in panic. I immediately turn my head to find a Pokémon. A Primarina to be more precise. It was the one blowing up a water filled bubble from its nose, and now was playfully hugging it with me inside. “If your return my gems, I’ll let you out” it tells me in a teasing masculine voice.

I didn’t catch much air, and I’m deep into the lake. The surprise and sudden panic can’t give me enough concentration to let me cast any spell to extend my underwater stay.

I’m giving the treasure back. I’m definitely not gonna risk drowning.

This is an idea I’ve been wanting to do for a while, where a Primarina would prevent one of my characters from escaping because of them grabbing a treasure which didn’t seem as abandoned as it looked.
I also decided to try out a different background for the underwater scene, and it looks pretty fitting. I really like how it turned out!
