I’m making a discord, but I don’t have the time to moderate three things.

Alright, I’ll play that ball.  
If a Discord HAS to be made then set a cooldown of like 60 seconds between messages and ensure it has no idle talk channel. Only technical stuff, which the timer will ensure is more thought of. Cockblock social discords from happening without actually allowing the discord to be social.

It’s simple: the staff should have some professionalism standard, and should not talk about the website or hold moderation discussions in a non-official random discord server made by some guy. Simple as. Like, Zizzy is already in various discord servers, but if I corner him in some cytube discord and start a lengthy discussion about ponybooru policy, I’d fully expect the answer to be “bro, this kind of discussion should really happen on ponybooru, not on this random ass server”. (Except he doesn’t usually talk like that.) Or if he did tell me something, nobody would expect it to count as anything remotely “official” related to the site rather than just a private chat.  
Same standard should be applied to any “unofficial discords” people make.

If what I’ve heard about discord rolling out a speech police AI is true, it might not matter much in the long run.

Actually scratch that. In going looking for the tweet again (it was a few weeks ago that I saw it), it looks like it was a fake. Probably only a matter of time given their track record but that tweet, at least, looks to have been a fake. Sorry about that.

i mean we have ben using it in foal party and it works just fine the only thing it’s that you need to approve new users but that just gives the staff more control over trolls and stupid people
 
and it doesn’t give a fuck about the content of private groups for now

This. The site already has a forum and image comments, all site interaction should be in them. Otherwise it’ll splinter and splinter hard.

On that note I’d like to point out that Tempest Shadow is probably the canon character closest to the Ponybooru theme in terms of her colours. She’s also hotter than Cheerilee and Cadence, which I know is illegal to say, but she’s got my vote regardless.

No, no. You’ve got a point. I tend to forget about her because I haven’t watched the movie yet. I BOUGHT the damn thing nearly two years ago but I just never get around to it. And come to think of it, she’s a pretty fitting mascot from what I know of her. Like us, she’s scarred but sexy and has a thing for jackboots.
