Unfourtunately I don’t think I can pull off the effect that I have in mind. Essentially what I’m thinking is a robo-pony styled after the older, bulky home computers, so her torso, butt and head would each be inside a big blocky outer shell, housing her blocky body underneath (outer shell pale yellow-white, underside black like a screen).
The troublesome part is how to make such a squarish design look as cute as the bouncy, round shapes ponies usually have…

Another approach we could take is mimicking old 3D renders. Simple and flat shapes, maybe some cubism, but the way I render stuff doesn’t lend itself to emphasizing that

How about going the opposite direction: a really slick, sci-fi robopone… but still with a floppy drive. Gives a humorous juxtaposition, while also giving the freedom to make the futuristic shape rounded, refined and even cuddly.

Also, if we’re doing a robopone, the cutie “mark” could be a good place for the actual floppy drive. Both symbolic and functional!

Ok, this turned out to be a chance to use a design I haven’t used in quite a while, so while this might not end up being the final design, I’d like to add this to the pile nonetheless:

Using an already existing OC that’s heavily identified with a single user would be a bad idea: so that’s a no to Sign.
MMDW isn’t a terrible idea.

Someone’s going to make an ‘unofficial discord’ in a week or two, all the staff will be on it, and we’ll have lost the ability to set the tone of the server.
