Ponybooru Image Collab - 2025 Version

Hello all! A bit late on making a proper post about this, but the collab is still going to happen if we get the submissions for it.

We do have a background made already for this one. It has been posted in the Ponybooru Collab 2025 channel on the site’s Discord if you wish to see it. It’s a flying airship with the pink, purple, white color scheme of the site’s logo. Dunno how well Discord image links work, but I will try to here:

Rules are mostly the same as the previous collab:

OC characters only.
MLP themed characters only. If you have something that deviates from that, either draw them as a race from MLP or try to make them as MLP styled as you can.
Safe images only.
Transparent backgrounds for your submissions are ideal so they don’t cover other characters or the background up. Ask if you need help with this.
No real limit on amount of character submissions… you can make multiple groups or individuals.
Several flying spots open, currently no limits but might change if we get too many.
Community OCs are fair game to draw. (FoE characters, Fluffle Puff, Nyx, etc.) As long as a character is generally considered a community OC, they should be fine to draw.
If you wish to draw art with someone else’s OC, simply ask them first as I won’t have their answers. (my OC’s are fair game if you want to draw them for me)
TAG your submissions when you upload them here. If you don’t then I might not see them to add to the collab.

No AI submissions. This is an art collab for actual artists and not for some program you found online.

For now, either message me through this forum if you have a question or through the Ponybooru Discord’s collab channel. If you don’t feel comfortable publicly asking something, then feel free just to direct message me on here and I will try to answer when I can.

Making a message here when you make a submission is optional but would be fine if you did. Just make sure your tagging is properly done. Not just the collab tag but all relevant ones for your submission - artist name, OC name, race (if not simply obvious), etc..

I certainly don’t mind if you wish to use images from older collabs. Just add the tag for the current collab so I can find them easier later.

This goes for anyone else as well. If you don’t want to make or commission a new image for this year’s collab, feel free to reuse one from a previous collab from either Ponybooru or Derpibooru if you want. Just add the appropriate tag for this year’s collab to it.

A month and a half is cutting it really short. Does it have to be in color, because I draw in pencil and colorizing it takes forever?

how about non-artista with ocs who wants to be part of the collab?

commissioning artists for having ocs in a collab is possible like how it was done a few time in derpibooru.

Color is ideal, but if you can manage to make the lines fairly clean and just remove the background it should work.

If you are asking if you can commission someone for your submission, then you can. As long as you are not using AI for a submission then you can submit your OC’s art either done by yourself or another artist that makes it for you.

It’s certainly optional to have to post it here as long as you have the submission tagged properly. I don’t mind if you do though.

How many do we have so far?

Currently sitting at 8 it seems. If anyone still has one in progress or otherwise needs some more time then speak up soon. The soft deadline would be in roughly less then a week.

I don’t mind pushing the deadline back a bit if needed, but I would need a clear reason to do so first.

I’m down to clown, but I’m busy with comms right now, since I’m pretty low on money.

I did have a request for an extension from the Discord… so we are currently looking at the end of the month for the deadline.

If anyone might still need more time beyond that, just let me know when you can. While I don’t want to go much past the end of the month, I still can if it’s really needed.

Sorry I kinda forgot to make a new pic for this collab, hopefully removing the background of a pic I made a while works. If possible having her flying around.

Interesting choice since I heard New World is getting shut down in under a year. But that should be fine for a submission.

If you need just a couple of days I might be able to work with you… otherwise I was going to start to put it together here in a day or two.

I could do An Funny™ and draw a sign with a crappy painting of my OCs that says “we forgor :(”, I can do that in two or three days no problem.
If that’s not acceptable, then sorry, you’ll have to count me out this year.
