This isn’t transparency. Plus, it doesn’t matter that they’re being posted by the same anonymous ID. It’s all well and good that posts are being made about what’s being done, but you can’t tell who’s done what. That’s not transparency, can’t even really call it a log. Transparency would be logging who did what, not what’s been done, because then there’s no point in the log.
That’d be like a log for an application telling the developer what went wrong, but not what caused it, or what bit of code failed. It’s a useless log.

Not sure if this is a best way to start this conversation - but is an anonymous modding really necessary or even beneficial for the functionality of a booru? There are likely to be significant calls to the greater transparency after what DB admins have done.
This is a question of at least partially restoring the informational symmetry. Mods are empowered by this site to know a lot even when no reports has been filed. Even pseudonymous accounts (as in one account for one particular mod) would go a long way to provide at least a bit of transparency while allowing those who active in other parts of a fandom to maintain distance if they want to.

We’re still working on that. As of now, a mod who posts in this thread is assigned an ID automatically, this ID doesn’t change so for July we’re good.
There’s a couple mods that don’t want to be public because they don’t do any public facing actions. They’re almost explicitly advisory , and just yell at the rest of the mod team if something needs done. Minus the occasional DM.

Again, not to sound too demanding, but what I had in mind is an ID that stays forever, not for a month (that is why I brought up pseudonymous accounts - if you’re stuck with a profile at least you can put a name and avatar to it). One-month persistent ID while not exactly useless is much less useful.
And while I cannot surely say that having hidden mods is actively harmful if they don’t undertake public-facing actions it still shivers my timbers, so please consider this one insignificant voice against hidden mods in general.
I am thankful for your engagement with a community, I understand that things are unsettled yet, and hope that question of transparency will result in a more significant discussion and awareness down the road.

It would be most helpful to report a single image, in the report mention the artists name and that they are DNP, and let the staff deal with it from there.
