Report: Rule #4: Obligatory pony — Not just this image, but this artist in general. They like to show off their minecraft creations by slapping a one of a few ponies vectors on top of them with no effort into integrating them. They’ve recreated a few locations from the show here and there, and occasionally they use a related vector to what they’ve made, but usually it’s just recreations of real world buildings and by now it’s safe to say this is just about showing off their minecraft stuff.
 
Action taken: I took a dive through this artists submissions, all the buildings in it seem to reside on the same minecraft world/server. Many of the buildings are mlp themed or even straight from the show. As such it would be of reasonable assumption that the town in which these screenshots originate from are from a server that is heavily MLP inspired. To provide users with a method of filtering this out easily if they choose to, we have created a tag and applied it to all applicable images that fall under this artists tag.

I am open to the artist wishing to argue this decision and we could potentially meet a compromise if they so choose. It, much like the minecraft server report that I had just gotten done with are very much in a grey area in relation to rule 4.

Luzion mentions this in relation to the Rule #4 report on another set of questionably pony-related works we received earlier today.

After careful reconsideration from myself and the mod team, we determined that the decision to remove the images mentioned previously had been made hastily. Here shortly I will reinstate the images. My decision to remove them was in part biased due to the heavy furry only theme of the images. After considering the stylization of the images to be heavily inspired by MLP:fiM (to the point of being nearly show accurate) and the over arching story behind the canine involved having previously been shown to be a changeling, the decision to remove them was deemed incorrect. I would like to extend an apology to the artist involved for this erroneous decision on my part.
 
All of that being said, once the 3 images involved are restored, because the theme is drastically furry x furry, the furry tag will be applied to allow for proper filtering of said images. Additionally, the tag “collie ocellus” is already present on the images and offers an additional way for users who would be inclined to filter the image from their viewing if they so choose.

Action taken: Deleted. Even though it was appropriately tagged as furry, it’s much too far removed from the show to deserve remaining on the site. The only element linking it to the show is that the outfit was worn by Sunset Shimmer at some point. It’s even below obligatory-pony plushies.

Action take: None. comment remains up. The phrase “furfag” is a general term used to describe members of the furry fandom. While initially the term can come off as an insult, terms like these are often generally used among different communities and fandoms. For instance, the term “horse fucker” is used within the mlp fandom, and while 99.999% of the community hopefully doesnt fuck actual horses, the term is used interchangeably with other terms such as brony or clopper. If the user reporting this comment would like to follow up either publicly by replying to this comment or message a member of the staff team privately, we are happy to discuss this issue further.

These actions have been reversed after a conversation. We’re actively working on clarifying rule 4 and ensuring that all staff are on the same page regarding fringe art pieces.
 
Really, it was marked furry as a tag when imported, so it’s already filtered. It clearly is visible to have sunset’s bathing suit, and is described as such in the description. For the purposes of the booru it belongs, and in the purpose of maintaining an archive (of booru(s)) it definitely belongs.
 
I don’t take reversing things lightly - and I generally try to prevent having to do it.
