How does one become a mod for this site?

I ask because as this website grows, moderating images, user text posts on said images, and posts in the forums is going to become much more harder to manage with just 3 people.
 
I’m not entirely surprised not many more mods have been added as of yet since the site is still young and odds are some unsavory characters have been spamming the mods and admin’s boxes right and left with “make me a mod/admin” messages for no other purpose than to get into a position of power.
 
I myself would like to be able to help keep this website safe and a pleasant place to surf for images and such but my attempts to contact admins have been met with silence. If mod positions are not open at the present time then that’s fine by me but do keep me in mind for the future of this site. :)

Honestly I would have said is that 1 don’t ask to be lol, but I imagine they’ve already got people in mind,so don’t worry about there being 3 of them too much, still only early days technically

I would be willing to help out too if mods are needed. I like this site so far.

I believe they said that they have a few people currently acting as unofficial mods on a trial basis.

Although it might be interesting to and an entry somewhere explaining to people how they could apply to be part of the moderation team. Right now, the way the moderation team is selected is entirely unclear to everyone.  
Unless I’m missing something, in which case everyone may disregard what I just said.

There’s enough of mods currently, they are just anonymous. Most sites do not have “mod applications”, I would guess this site is same.  
P.S. This is just my assumption.

We already spend half our time here anyway, right? I’d offer to help but I don’t know that I’d be the best choice. I tend towards blanket permissiveness as long as there’s nothing illegal going on.

I think that we need to get the right mods on board, not the most mods.

Mod positions are currently being filled internally as needed, so yes in a sense they are not open to application. If or when the need arises for additional mods, and a public application is available we will make an announcement for such.
