My nephew knows Popeye, because he has a bunch of those dvd collections of domain cartoons.  
He was pretty dismissive of the emoji movie. He liked Into the Spider-verse. He also liked Boss Baby,though…

The worst part is that the movie would have literary been a Popeye cartoon. The way the characters move were just like in those old classics. It had the sprite of it’s source woven into it’s core. There’s so little of those creative and wacky movement styles now that the movie could have renewed the reason animation became a thing.
 
It can do everything Live action can’t do.

It just really peeves me off that a good adaptation of an old classic that doesn’t get much recognition nowadays gets canned for overdone trash.

I had a TV with a built-in VCR. That for some reason started suffering this odd bug where something inside the VCR would try to activate for a few seconds and then the TV would shut off. And if you tried to turn it back on, it would immediately turn itself off again. Which was very weird. Then one day it started turning ON at random. Which was fucking creepy as it happened almost exclusively at night. Nothing like being in the pitch black when suddenly you hear/feel that old TV power up static coming from behind you.
 
REALLY fucking creepy was that the TV was a hand-me-down from my grandparents, who’d bought two of them. When they replaced the other one, I got it, too. After a week or two it started doing the same thing.

I always got hand me down T.V. when I was younger they also black and white T.V. until I got a when of the previous color T.V. from the living room. I didn’t actually buy my own T.V. until that old Box T.V. I had blow out. The place my dad took that T.V. said it weighed about 50 pounds.

That was my thing. I got the hand-me-downs. TVs, tables, chairs, etc.
 
Also RIGHT after I finished that story, a video I’d opening in another tab and forgotten about started playing. One of those YouTube surveys, I presume. Immediately leads off with a mechanical whirring & voice. Room was dead quiet. Just about pissed myself. I can still feel my heart.

I remember playing Bart VS the Space Mutants on the old Black and White T.V. where the tell you to cover all the Purple Items I was like what Purple Items are you talking about. I always have YouTube Videos in the background when I’m on other sites. Also I get those YouTube surveys ads a lot too.

Did you know that Kirby’s Adventure had unused music basically it Kirby’s Dreamland’s title music. Where this music would’ve been used is unknown.
