Concord will be going down on Friday, and it sounds like players will be getting refunds. After eight years of development, the game will be killed after fourteen days of wide release.

Space Marine 2 already appears to be a success, before it even releases.

Ubisoft’s stock has fallen to its lowest price since early 2014, and shareholders finally seem to be fed up. There are some rumblings of an attempted takeover, another shareholder suggested they pack it in and go private, but it seems like something is going to happen. Probably not yet, though. Ubisoft lied about Shadows just as hard as they lied about Outlaws during the recent investor call, and now the market is waiting to see if Ubi’s final big release of the year is as much of a disaster as the previous two. If AC Shadows bombs, the stock will drop again, potentially approaching all-time lows, and we could see a board fight.

I just finished The Plucky Squire, and had a great time. I would recommend it.

The modding scene of the OG Xbox is getting better in recent years. No more need for Splinter Cell exploit involving the Xbox remote, and replacing the console’s HDD isn’t as super convoluted anymore.

Unknown 9: Awakening is Sweet Baby’s latest disaster. According to the source cited in this thread, a selection of 2900 Gamestop stores moved zero copies that weren’t preorders. Bandai Namco is already struggling financially, and this game isn’t going to do anything to stop the layoffs. I expect to hear about Reflector Entertainment’s closure soon.
Not even the critics like this one. Hardly any outlets are reviewing it, and those that are aren’t enjoying it.

The US Copyright office needs to be stood up to. it doesn’t have to be like this. By no means is this a valid reason to give up the Cronies that make up most up the US copyright office infallible; there needs to be more of a counter-effort, for sure.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is even more about identity politics than was previously known.

Dragon Age Veilguard and Monster Hunter Wilds’ Beta released the same day. Monster Hunter’s demo pulled an average of 5 to 6 times Veilguard’s numbers. It’s likely that DA’s peak has nearly been set. I wouldn’t be surprised if BioWare is shuttered or sold off at this point.

apparently barely holding 30K players is a “Commercial success” now when most games that came out before it still have over 100K, and it was due to the wokeness that destroyed other games which didn’t exist according to the journalists.

Most bitching about people not playing Veilguard have also not talked about the game much and as usual are not playing it.

I can and will go on one of my fun rants about Vfailguard if people want or care for it…but for now, I’d like to lighten the mood by sharing a funny moment that happened to me while I was farming Super Credits in HELLDIVERS II last night.

Ubisoft appears to be making their DLC into ransomware. Last year’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora recently locked players out of their saves unless they purchase the Sky Breakers expansion. In some unlucky cases, even buying the DLC when prompted didn’t fix the problem.
Star Wars Outlaws just released discounted on Steam, and has gone on sale on the other platforms. In light of the Avatar situation, it looks suspiciously like the plan is to get more people to buy in, then hold their games hostage to some future DLC packages.
