Vent Thread

Someone PMed me a question on Fimfiction and then blocked me before I could answer. That, while stupid, wasn’t the frustrating thing. No, the frustrating thing was that for some dumbass reason if you try to talk to someone who blocked you, it doesn’t tell you “this person blocked you”. It just says “server error”. So I sat there trying to resend my response every few minutes for a good half hour like an idiot. Only figured it out when I tried to post on their user page instead and got the same issue.

People bringing politics into unrelated things ticks me off on levels that nothing else ever could. Seriously, nobody gives a crap about your political opinion, so don’t bring politics into everything.

It never ends. It’s something I’ve gone through the 5 stages of grief with honestly. I accept that they’re there, but I still don’t like them, and I still try to push them away from places they don’t belong.

I don’t like them either. I really don’t understand why they think anyone cares about their political beliefs. All politics does is cause fights.

Politics is one of those sports that are fun to watch but not to play.

I’ve talked about this before on various IRC channels and discord servers and no one usually listens, but I guess I’ll talk about it here.
 
I used to be a half operator on the official /mlp/ irc channel (#mlpfim on rizon), which was owned by Aerolite (a 4chan mod who moderated /mlp/) and under him was yetsturdy (literally the then (this was around 2013) /mlp/ janitor and developer of 4chan’s drop down menus). A lot of stuff happened on that channel, mostly gay drama and such, and I did have a few friends like hetdegon on there. I remember yetsturdy having a shitstorm about alicorn twi or something and then leaving. Days later I post a pretty pg rated picture of a pony, and then get a ban for “garbage outsideof /b/”, while getting pm’d over IRC by yetsturdy, saying “you’re garbage”. I said “gee, I think yets is a janitor”, and everyone else is like “no he’s not, he’s just a developer”.
 
Cut to years later to around maybe 2015 or so, years after other dramas that might have lead to me losing half op status on the IRC channel, people are talking about a 4chan janitor leak, and guess who is the one everyone hates? Yetsturdy. But by then, Yetsturdy fell off the face of the earth.
 
I have various other tales from IRC, some that involve yets, aero, and some that are a bit more personal, if anyone wants to hear.

Well, I figure I should probably explain a bit of the users, I’ve of course mentioned aero is a mod and yets was a janitor, but I probably didn’t go into much detail on who they were.
 
Aerolite was and still is the 4chan mod for /mlp/ (I know mods are all global, but many of them stick to their niche boards), he liked to pretend he was a horse on the internet and occasionally stream cartoons with us, he was also kind of into politics from what I recall. Yetsturdy was of course the janitor, but before we knew that, we knew him as that tech savvy New York businessman who had aspergers and still lived with his parents (nothing wrong with that), and would occasionally mention cryptocurrencies. Before yets had some sort of hate boner on me, we were sorta friends, sort of. I remember him pming me every so often, once telling me to get on pidgin, to which I denied and probably dodged a bullet there, and I guess one little hint to him being a janny was when he told me to draw scruffy because “scruffy’s feeling bad”, I still probably have that image on my imgur, though it’s a nothing special intentionally low res art.
 
Other users there was some gay teenager, a gay operator who I’d become friends with, and hetdegon who used to be my best friend. He was a Baker from Spain who programmed games for linux and drew stuff as a hobby, and was a former /m/ user, you probably know him as the artist for sweetie bot in the giddy up music video and on octabooru, he was a ponk fan until years later when he decided not to be into pony anymore and shortly before he disappeared off the face of the earth, we used to pm eachother about video games like touhou (he was one of the first fans of touhou back when the fanbase was literally limited to a shmup irc channel) and he’d always talk about how much of a shitty country spain is. Unfortunately as I mentioned, we stopped being in touch after a while and a recent search resulted in finding out he just simply disappeared off the face of the earth as his twitter just simply doesn’t exist anymore, shame considering he did nice mech and pokemon art. I did upload one of his artworks to this booru as he did draw my oc once.
 
I figure that should establish a bit of setting before I tell more stories.

I’m a gamedev of a tiny studio and we’ve been thinking of bringing in new blood, but it’s fucking impossible to filter out the crazies at this point. I don’t want to create the exact same atmosphere I’m trying to escape from, y’know?
 
Can’t even enjoy the fan art from a show I grew out of without being CONSTANTLY reminded of dumb nonsense.

I know how that feels. That’s why many of us have left Derpibooru for this site, because of far-left SJWs who always look for the stupidest crap to get offended by. They also claim to support freedom of speech, when in fact the only speech they’re okay with is speech that they consider acceptable.
