That’s how it’s been from when email was invented until last year. Multi factor authentication is the biggest crock of horseshit, the biggest pain in the ass in the entire world and I fucking hate it. I really really fucking hate it.
I remember my first job we had this device bolted to the wall from the 70s and you type in a number with these big keys and it gave you a slip of paper and that was it. That was perfect.
Skip ahead a few years, then you need a user name and password and you have to click on these menu items when you take a piss, when you go on break, when it’s lunch, when you arrive and leave. You’ve just added 4 more steps and the system breaks down more often.
Skip ahead a few years and now there’s MICROSHAFT MULTIFACTOR AUTHENTICATION. And it’s the platinum standard of HR bullshit. Now when you want to work you need a retina scan, fingerprints, a stool sample, and you have to give your data to some porn site in the Philippines before you’re allowed to punch in. And you have to do that EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. you want to punch in or out, or read your email, or work.
Stop making work suck more. Work already sucks donkey dick. That’s why they have to pay you to do it. Just put the old time clock back on the wall and let me do my work.
