Everyone age up every year as you are reading this, someone out there is having a birthday right now, and having cake with his/her family and every second we all age by 1 second, but for other things like plants about every few seconds depending on where it’s planted.

The Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, is about 1/3 empty space. The top third of the building is too narrow to fit any usable space. It just exists to make sure the building is the tallest in the world. And most of the building’s office space is unrented, so even the usable space is mostly empty.
 
Also it’s not connected to the municipal sewage system so every day an entire army of trucks has to pump the crap out of the septic tank.

If China and India both lost 1 billion people each they would still be the two most populous nations on Earth.

Those trucks are owned by a guy nicknamed “Whiz.” His nickname was given to him because of the substance his trucks haul every day.
 

In the game of rock, paper, scissors, NOTHING beats rock. Rock breaks scissors and tears through paper. You’d have to be an idiot to pick something else.

Paper unfortunately has the unfair advantage of having a cushy goal,cover the rock. Not break the rock,not damage it in any way,just cover it. Meanwhile the scissors has to cut the paper,and the rock has to smash the scissors. It’s a very unbalanced set of expectations for these objects to meet.

What do you mean? The scissors’ existence is to cut paper. It’s purpose-built to have every advantage in that regard. Cutting paper is just the minimum expectation for scissors. Does a cup deserve a gold star every time it manages to hold a liquid?

yep. Shifter has started making this awful scratching/scraping noise when shifting up (not down).
