Most people who have a sudden windfall of money end up deeper into debt than when they started after a few years because people are stupid and don’t know anything about money.

The US Dollar is worth half of what it was in 1990. To have the same standard of living as someone in 1985 who was making $20,000 a year you would have to be making about $50,000. Some Boomers who know nothing about money can’t understand that. They think $20,000 35 years ago for a man out of high school was the same as $20,000 today and not a mortgage, two cars, two kids, and a week of vacation every year.

It’s not just money. Have you ever had one lecture you on how modern technology works? It would be funny if it wasn’t so frustrating. They worked on tube TVs back in the day so they’re an expert on LCDs and LEDs. They did maintenance on primitive computers in 1968 so they know everything there is to know about modern hardware & software. And don’t even get me started on space…
