Regrettably it’s going to pass at like 1.8 AU, near Mars, not Earth.
 
However, there’s always a possibility of gamma ray burst hitting the planet! It moves at lightspeed so there will never be any warning, and typical energies are enough to sterilize Earth (save for maybe deep-ocean bacteria).

Gamma rays don’t get deflected by magnetic field. And even if they were, even Sun’s radiation can depress the magnetic field - solar flux is what causes aurorae, and they’ve been confirmed to happen at 21 degrees of latitude (Honolulu) and there are disputed reports of aurora australis at -13 and -8 degrees - and GRB is millions of times stronger.
