@Fleur de Lis
I liked the first episode of Discovery. It was as it went on I became very aware I wasn’t going to like the rest. The last straw was Spock being the adopted brother of Michael. It just felt pointless. I keep hearing SNW is really good, but I don’t know if I want to bother with it. Picard was frustrating, Lower Decks is braindead.
I’m kinda disappointed here… there has been NO discussion of Battlestar Galactica in this entire thread. Have this BSG trailer to wet your whistle
Seriously, Battlestar Galactica is one of the most intense shows I’ve ever watched.
@Dex Stewart
What I mean is that negativity is allowed to exist around this show at all. The bad reviews are pretty bad. The BBC is even working really hard to like it more than the words in the review say they do.
Amazon’s finally made an official statement on Rings of Power. If you don’t like their garbage, you’re a racist. They’ve gone further than usual by implying that Tolkien fans are just racist in general.
The star of The Woman King has declared buying a ticket to be mandatory. It’s interesting that her character seems to be against slavery, since the person she’s portraying was a slave owner and slave-taker in real life. The Dahomey that this movie appears to be shilling for was a slave state, and it took a British blockade and two wars against the French to finally stop it from being a slave state.
@Dex Stewart
Don’t bother. I tried to spite-watch it and it was so boring I stopped. Some parts are woke pandering garbage, but most of it isn’t even that interesting.
@ANoobis
History, like many other things, is optional for the left.
@ponypony221
I already watched it. Kinda bland. I might give it another try if it gets dvds or blurays.
The Hobbits are the best part. Cgi is as fakey as ever. Elrond… Is… Certainly an actor…
@Dex Stewart
Elrond went from the guy straight men considered banging to the guy who drives up to your door on a bike and wants to tell you about golden tablets.
