Leslie Jordan, who played the husband of Joey B. The diner owner in Jason Goes to Hell passed away.  
He had quite an impressive career, mostly guest starring in sitcoms. He became a queer icon, and was a successful comedian.

I’m finally sitting down to watch Shazam. I’m thinking of going to see Black Adam this weekend.

James Gunn is going to be in charge of the DCEU, the way Feige is at Marvel. It’s only taken Warner a decade to think of having a franchise head.

The twitterati have commanded this. Considering that movies make a disproportionate share of their take opening weekend now, this seems like a plan designed to make it fail, but if that’s what they want, they can have it. Skipping it entirely must be super support, then.

It was good. I don’t have anything bad to say about it.  
It’s long, but no part feels unnecessary.  
The other DC characters in the movie are introduced as pre-existing characters, and we don’t get much backstory about them. That’s not a bad thing, everything we need to know about them comes across naturally in the story or through their personalities.  
I don’t even know DC that well, but I could easily follow these relatively obscure characters.  
Action and effects are a step up from other superhero flicks. So much actually has weight in Black Adam.  
I don’t know why critics were so harsh on it, it’s a creative entry for the superhero genre and has a main character with depth.  
The only kinda weak element I can say is that the main villain’s final fight scenes drag a teensy bit, but it’s nothing compared to the similar fights in other superhero flicks that drag on forever with bad cgi, lame choreography, bland characters and muddy visuals.

I finally got around to watching the new Willow trailer and it really sucked. Whoever edited it tried as hard as they could to force a bunch of dumb jokes.
