There’s a more fundamental divide.

Bronies are enthusiastic about and in some instances sexually attracted to cartoon ponies from the show. By the way, this is not unusual. Lots of animated characters have been drawn to be attractive.

Furries are not content to want to fuck the cute cartoon animal. Furries want to BE the cute cartoon animal. Furries in many instances have convinced themselves that they already ARE the cute cartoon animal. Furries are batshit. Many of them fuck plush stuffed animals. More than a few of them fuck animals. Seriously, half of them are zoophiles. Go to the forums where they hang out, and they can’t stop talking about fucking dogs and anything else that can’t run away from them fast enough.

And I want to expand on that point about furries thinking they’re really animals. Some of them are deadly serious about this and will threaten violence or attempt violence if you don’t go along with their little game of make-believe.

Furries are basically trannies but convinced that they’re cartoon mice instead of women. These people are mentally ill. Bronies just like cartoon ponies.

As you said, the people in the brony community haven’t those whishes, and those who have are exceptions to the rule. As a matter of fact, the Rule 34 from My Little Pony isn’t that grotesque, the artist drawing unsane things are a minority too; Why I mention this? Well, in the past I used to be in the fandom of Zootopia, I thought it’ll be much fun… Nedless to say it was actually a fucking disaster. The furries maybe are not all mentally ill, but at least the 70% of the fandom is rotten with degenerate bullshit.

I think Zootopia is the best example of the contrasts between the communities, because both are based in products for kids. A series, and a Movie in this case.

I have, they just tend to be ostracized and hence turn into furries instead.

@Anonymous #63A2
You’re being not quite accurate but accurate at the same moment. To be more accurate:
There are sizable groups of “otherkin” (trannies but species instead of sex), zoophiles, pedophiles, all other fucking degenerates etc who are also furries. And their attempt to purge the unclean has done jack and shit (see: burned furs and the like), so effectively all that degeneracy is the face of the furry fandom… like how Burn Loot Murder is the face of “”“pro-black””” organizations, how the screeching alphabet soup is the face of LGBT, et cetera.

Try Lion King fandom instead. Or Chip&Dale.

The main point I think distinguishes the two groups is their relationship between the fantasy and reality. This might be a hot take here, but I don’t mind people who secretly wish they could be cute anthros, or ponies. Their own little private fantasies are their own business, and if they want to share them with like minded people, that’s fine.

The issue arises when they cannot separate it from the objective reality around them. When they actually come to believe that they are an animal trapped in a human body, and even worse when they insist-nay, demand-that others around them entertain their delusions.

In the “Brony” Fandom, these people are the rare exception that get ostracized.
In the Furry Fandom, these people are shockingly commonplace, and challenging them is grounds for ostracization.

I genuinely have no problem with someone who wishes they could be a handsome anthromorphic stallion in their fantasy world, as long as they can admit to me that in the real world they are an adult human male (or female for the wamynses) and don’t commit fucking bestiality. I think that’s a very simple ruleset, and I reserve the right to feel disgust for those who can’t follow it.

I agree.

The human heart wants what it wants. We don’t get to choose whether or not we desire something. We can think about it, and we can try to reason ourselves into not acting on the desire, but we can’t make ourselves not want something.

It’s okay to want to boink the cartoon character who is deliberately drawn to be boinkable. It’s okay to want to be the cartoon character–it’s a bit weird, but harmlessly weird, and we’re all weird here. But when someone starts in with the otherkin bullshit, the two-spirit bullshit, the “I am a therianthrope, I’m really a wolf UwU” bullshit, that’s pretty autistic. And when someone starts yelling “What do you mean, I’m not really a cartoon mouse? I’ll KILL YOU!” then it’s time to dial 911 and ask them to send out some cops and some burly orderlies from the looney bin and throw a butterfly net over him, just like the trannies yelling “it’s MA’AM!”

To paraphrase a certain controversial vlogger, the “furry” community is cancerous as fuck. They are hyper-fragile and there is a ton of genuine literal mental illness. They gather in their Internet hugbox communities like Tumblr and bond over their shared mental illness and huff one another’s farts and tell each other how “brave” and “stunning” it’ll be to show up at an anime con and throw public autistic tantrums when terrified mothers pull their toddlers away. These people are irreparably damaged and not capable of normal functional interaction with normal human beings without autistic meltdowns taking place. We need to shun them. Everybody needs to shun them. They’re not fixable, and this enormous toxic miasma of furrydrama follows them wherever they go. Cut these people out of your life, eject them from clubs and positions of responsiblity.

Sometimes, people assume using older technology should be easier due to being less complex and powerful, but in reality it tends to be the opposite in difficulty. Older technology, while less complex internally, tends to be more complex in required steps needed to use said piece of technology. We have made modern devices to be far more user-friendly, learning from the past drawbacks.

Most technology, these days, is automatic, nothing like older manual devices, from car to computers.

Older people should be saying: Wow, back in my day, we had to: step by step long draw out procedure to do what today can be accomplished with the push of a single bottom.

You, younger generation, ought to be amazed at the power you have at your literally fingertips.

Being wiser means being more understanding. Or it should mean something like that.
Lack of understanding only show lack of knowledge.

@Adan Druego
I have never once seen anyone become wiser or more mature and understanding by becoming old. Old people are the most entitled people on the planet, not kids these days.

At the store young people will usually shrug off the inconvenience when a clerk tells them that something isn’t for sale or can’t be done and old people will almost without exception demand to see the manager or get the corporate phone number and try to get the clerk fired.

Old people I’ve talked to get personally offended when I tell them I don’t want to get old. “NO! If I have to suffer being old you have to suffer being old!” I don’t want to get old. I want to die before my body deteriorates to the point where I need someone to wipe my ass. I don’t want to suffer because other people are suffering, and I think it’s evil to want others to suffer because you are suffering.

It’s the same thing I see with horrible shitty parents (99% of parents are horrible) and other adults before comments were banned in most websites. Whenever some improvement to schools were proposed, like putting air conditioning in hundred year old schools, all the adults complained “NO! Kids are pussies! I had to go to school and suffer in the heat with no air conditioning so they have to suffer too! REEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Or “I don’t care that high school starts at 9 AM in Europe, and started at 9 AM prior to the 1970s, my convenience matters most! Pull yourself up by your boot straps and buck up buttercup! Kids are pussies! Live in the “”“real world””” and start school at 6 AM even though real work doesn’t start that early for the overwhelming majority of jobs! Kids need to suffer to build character!”

When people ask me “How old are you?” I always say “old enough” because (thanks autocorrect for putting “barbecue” instead) let’s be totally honest, between the ages of 21 and 65 don’t matter. You’re old enough to drink and rent hookers but not old enough for social security. There are no other milestones between those two ages. It’s just a contest where old people claim to be better than you because they’re older. “Well, I’m older than you so I win!” Great, you’re old, fuck off.

That goes along with my theory about why people have kids in the first place. Half probably are just drunk and have kids by accident, but the other half were powerless as kids and want to have kids of their own to boss around so they can feel powerful. You’re not a big and powerful adult unless you have a small, defenseless person who the law allows you to bully and command. And the cycle of abuse turns again.

Entitled kids grow up into entitled elders, who then teach kids to be entitled by example. And this has been going for 60 thousand years or so.

Just so we’re clear, this wasn’t directed at you, I was speaking about the old people you were referring to.
Basically, all I meant was they should be more understand due to having lived longer and experienced more. Unfortunely, that’s not often the case.

I agree with you and I don’t like it when older people look down on those who are younger.

Essentially, to the older people: You should be smart enough to understand that not everyone is as experienced in certain fields as you are. If you can’t understand that, then you’re not as smart as you like to think you are.

Older age should mean that the person has learnt to treat others with respect and to realize that nothing is ever perfect, in the case of “complaining whenever something it’s to their liking and making a scene about it”.

But I agree with you that some people are just miserable and they only get worse with time.
