Opossum. He’ll keep your yard free of ticks & mice and clean up any food your other pets don’t eat. I actually slightly overfill the cats’ bowls in the evening these days so that there’s always some left for ours to encourage him to stick around. Sometimes attracts raccoons but he usually runs them off.
They’re also cute when they’re not threatening to eat your face.

I’d choose the skunk. They protect your house and garden from rodents and bugs, as well as the obvious benefits of deterring potentially dangerous visitors, like coyotes.
