There are a lot of people who think that washing art clean of obtrusive watermarks is art theft.
 
As in, people either liking your art so much, they want to enjoy it without this garbage in the way;  
or people who are entertained by your offended screeching;  
are somehow "art thieves". And not, yanno, those who claim credit, trace, etc.
