I don’t envy you. We’ve had similar trouble with our toilets recently and had to rent an outhouse for the time being. You don’t wanna know what we had to do for the two weeks before it arrived.

Not down here. You can’t go five years without having your plumbing give out in this (literal) shithole state.

It lasted a good 20 years with almost no issues.  
Only problem is that my father was a fucking idiot and decided to use pvc pipes in a country where those are absolutely not a thing. So getting replacement pipes is a logistical pain.

I have a civil war era cannonball that my dad gave me.

In america you can just pop over to Lowes and buy as many as you need.

Nope, it’s just that no one bothers using them. It’s all metal. Stores don’t carry them because no one uses them when building stuff. And because of that, even less people use them for building. Chicken and egg, yo.
