It’s weird that they decided to side with the demons within a week of the Trench Crusade debacle. If they protest Doom it’ll be beyond parody.

To no surprise. The show is actually about an anti-America anti-Christian war on terror allegory take staring Lady who is a badass, fowl-mouthed girlboss that kicks Dante’s ass because “honoring the source material” according to Adi Shankar.
Tell me you didn’t play Devil May Cry, without telling me you never played it.
Dante himself is such a loser and makes Deadpool level humor and inconsistent abilities. One moment he’s shrugging off and then gets his ass kicked, by women. This is supposed to be the same Dante that took a bullet to the head and complained about it. No wonder they love it so much since they tend to hate badass male character because they feel impotent to a fictional character.

To think the DMC shitshow couldn’t get anymore hilarious. The “fans” who were praising the show are now attacking Sarkar because he replied to Asmondgold and now they’re claiming the show is ruined. I love when terrible creators piss off both the fans and the idiot fake fans. He’s so fake people can see right through him over the years of this crap.

I want to say better if only because capturing the spirit of Tomb Raider is easier than DMC’s.

Thoroughly mid.
Not bad. Was connected to the games but barely so. Throw it on if you have an afternoon to kill but I can’t say it was worth getting excited for either.

Netflix Tombraider I don’t expect much from, if at all. They are also utterly wrong about movie theaters being out of fashion or “outdated”. Some people said the same thing when Betamax and VHS, as well as Laserdisc came along back in the 1970s-1980s.

Zootopia 2 is on track to outperform the first one. It’s actually doing well in China, which these days comes as a surprise.
One thing I’ve been wondering for a while: Why do Dreamworks’ The Bad Guys movies do so poorly at the box office? From the outside, I don’t see a difference between them and Zootopia. They both look like 3D animated furry-bait with an urban setting. On paper, The Bad Guys should be a license to print money, but it’s apparently not.

I’m not quite sure.
I had assumed Zootopia’s success is all due to name recognition since the first was massively successful.
And maybe the fact that some people still have faith in Disney while Dreamworks has always been seen as a less talented copycat.

The story’s message is more of a warning about authoritarianism itself than communism. But the characters are all direct analogues to real life figures and events in the history of the Soviet Union.
The overall message can be swapped out and still work but the metaphors are impossible to replicate.

Disney is a great company and the best at animation there is no doubt of that the problem is greedy people who don’t give a fuck about quality are running it to the ground.

The cartoon shipper community is going through two back-to-back crises on social media. First, Netflix She-Ra is being pulled as part of Dreamworks’ Netflix pullout. About 100 shows are leaving, but the cartoon stan types are fixating on this one and pretending it’s a targeted gay holocaust, or something.
Then, The Amazing Digital Circus got pulled into a fandom shitstorm. Some indie team decided to make a game adaptation. They contacted Gooseworx, to ask permission and run their idea by them. All good so far. Gooseworx, already known for avoiding romantic themes and storylines, asked them to not make the dating sim they had planned. The team then made an announcement on social media stating that per the creators’ wishes, the dating sim would be reworked into a conventional visual novel. Cue the histrionic meltdowns, cries of oppression and bigotry, and melodramatic theses about how this is a step too far, and we’re totally leaving the fandom.
Last time I saw a shipping “community” melt down this hard was when the Reylos figured out that Abrams didn’t film their fan fictions.

Shipping communities can be quite toxic at times, indeed yes. Its quite an unhinged and histrionic predicament for sure. TBH, melt downs and shitstorms involving shipping is nothing new.
