So I’m mostly just a lurker in the fandom, especially on the boorus, and especially so these days. But I’ve been curious since I kinda stopped following all the drama surrounding the Derpibooru purge. I kinda just hopped over to Ponybooru immediately, and stopped paying much attention after that. I can’t really find any info on what went down for whatever reason. Even DDG and Google have failed me on that end, so I guess in order to know what happened, I’ll have to just ask some questions.
 
I don’t know if this is the right place ask my questions, but I can’t really think of a better place. Sorry if this is an inappropriate thread.
 
  1. Is Derpi still censoring? Last I heard they were thinking of walking back the censorship issue, but then they just doubled down.
     
  2. How badly was Derpi hurt? I haven’t properly looked at Derpi in months, but on the random occasions I get linked there, it seems perfectly fine.
     
  3. What else has changed with Derpi? Aside from the censorship and user exodus, has anything else major gone down?
     
  4. What other Altboorus are there? Is this all of them, or are there more?
     
  5. In your opinion, which is the “best” Altbooru?
     
  6. In your opinion, would it be worth it to give Derpi another chance?
     
  7. What happened with the people of interest? IE: Raptorshy, Wootmaster, and the other mods?

I’ll respond only the ones I know the most.  
If you wanna have a complete version with more details, I suggest you checking this thread and your questions might be answered fully.
 
  1. I’ve seen Aryanne images getting posted in Derpi or characters related to censorship (mostly nsfw), but some images as memes or joke images that “offended” someone are taken down.
     
  2. What I know that the uploads aren’t most actively there than the other altboorus, can’t confirm
     
  3. So far I know those are the official altboorus created after the DB censorship thingie from almost a year ago.
     
  4. In activity: Ponybooru, In image preserving: Twibooru.
     
  5. There has been a controversy related to the DB 2021 collab, where an artist’s submission was edited without his permission because one of the 2 ponies has an offensive mark, and the staff accepted the image and ignored the artist’s
     
  6. Raptorshy: Disappeared the internet  
    Wootmaster: Active in twitter being wootmaster  
    DB staff: Doing their roles in DB or focusing in Furbooru to put it in relevancy.

Huh, I never expected to be her and I thought all that bs of controversy in Derpi left her damaged and went to support the other altboorus, but then she just remained quiet and then deactivated all her accounts.
 
Is that screenshot from the Furbooru? Because I’ve seen the Staff List in DB and is under Administrator.
