Ugly, understaffed place where there’s barely any screening process to separate the inmates (unless they get some barely human ones, which are sent to a special ward where they scream all day and night long)  
The inmates are subject to a system of rewards/punishments separate as ranks, to incentivate them to behave and take their medication. Rank 1 is the basic one, rank zero is where violent or contrarian inmates are kept isolated, etc.

The Chandler’s fridge had barely any food on it because Barbara Chandler’s hoarding addiction literally buried their kitchen under tons of clutter, plus she refused to cook and neither Bob or Chris could make anything, so they limited themselves to eat cheap frozen dinners, order some cheap food delivery or go out to eat junk food.  
Chris’ idea that a romantic dinner was Fanta and some cheap roasted chicken came from his crappy upbringing and his own refusal to learn to cook anything that involved more effort than reheating and adding water to canned or premade mixes.

No bait is ever too low-quality. Also, the bottom of that subreddit’s sidebar reminds me of the time /r/Drama banned all /r/teenagers users and got numerous 35-year-old men to dox themselves to prove they weren’t really teens and reverse the ban.
