I finished the one rocket. 52 total pieces (it comes apart into 8 separate parts), 303mm high (it was supposed to be 136 but everything had to be enlarged based on how small I could physically make the smallest piece).

An unfortunate side effect is that it’s now about 60% the size of the larger rocket, which should be 463mm minimum when it’s done (the interstages are what really increase the height dramatically).

With the small one that I finished 4 engines can’t fit on stage 1, have to reduce it to 3. That means the whole thing is off balance and I have to make the engine bells lopsided, with the outer edge longer than the inner edge to balance the rocket.

What’s the aft skirt actually for? It falls off as soon as the rocket gets off the ground. In the model it’s to keep the model from falling over with everything else stacked on top, but in the really real world? As best I can tell it provides heat shielding for the engine bells while it’s close to the ground so the exhaust doesn’t reflect off the ground and damage anything, but that’s just a best guess.

And holy shit the interstage frustum took forever. Why are cones so difficult to produce?

I finally found these super rare RPM Auxiliary Rangers on ebay! I’ll have to figure out a video to do with these.

These three were only ever in the toy line. There were some alternate versions, in different outfits or with ridiculous armor. They never made an appearance in the show, or in the recent comics. Initially, there was little interest in these figures, since they weren’t from the show. Most older fans passed on them. Now they go for quite a bit. A loose figure with or without it’s weapons can go for 40- 70 dollars easily. In the box they can go up to over 200. I’ve never seen a set of all three in boxes.

Finally broke out of NEETdom. First day encountered five hispanics who didn’t speak English and a guy who spent 20 minutes trying to talk about hot rods.

Winblows 10 always used to make noises as it was doing shit without my permission in the background, filling my computer with gigs of bloat.

Yesterday I found most of the pieces of Edge, took administrative control of them, and deleted them (freeing up 2 gigs of space in the process). Now the computer is so quiet I have to check sometimes that it’s still working. 99% of everything winblows was doing without my permission, accessing the hard disk every 15 seconds, was dicking around with Edge.

It’s not even been a full day yet and I’m already 30% happier with my computer.

For years I tried to find out where all the extra space went. I’d delete loads of files and the hard disk space would DECREASE instead of increase. The total amount of free space would fluctuate wildly week on week.

Now I know. It was Edge and all the updates and temporary files and other bullshit. That’s where all the free space went. And now I have it back.
