Deus EX: Invisible War is not the worst Deus Ex game there is. That dishonor goes to The Fall.

I liked Predator 2 and Predators. I regard the franchise as a trilogy.

I think Alien was long and boring. The characters were all unlikable. It took like 45 minutes for anything to happen, and when the alien finally did appear it killed everyone except Ripley and the cat in about 15 minutes. It’s supposed to be “claustrophobic” but there are scenes in big huge giant spaceships with huge caverns with smoke machines inside, and big huge giant warehouses full of chains dangling at least 50 feet from the ceiling that rain inside the fucking spaceship for some reason. Why is there steam shooting out the helmets of the space suits that are very obviously little kids to make the sets look bigger? The robot was corny AF shooting milk from his mouth and when they burned the head it was very clearly a latex mask on a mannequin. I wanted the alien to kill the humans because they were all douchebags. The ship has the world’s longest self destruct sequence ever and when it blows up it blows up 2 or 3 times somehow and LOL JK the alien was already on the escape pod. And despite being hyperaggressive for the whole movie it just does its best to ignore Ripley until she can shoot it out of the ship and then it dies, the end.

The assembly cut of Alien 3 was the movie the original Alien wanted to be. Every scene was in a narrow corridor. The characters are like real people with real back stories and you feel for them. You don’t confuse them with each other because they’re not all generic truck driver assholes, each one is unique. There are layers of mystery. The alien is genuinely menacing and indestructible. The alien still looks fake because production was an absolute shitshow, but there are no fucks given in that movie. It’s brutal without being edgy or gratuitous.
