I’m a hundred percent sure the owner has privileges on the site above any Mod or Admin, he could easily throw them away and demote them forever. The only way to take him from the power would be plotting something against him, but the rest of the Derpi staff is too dumb and manipulable to try something like that.

If Derpibooru is still a more or less relevant topic it’s because the MLP fandom is still alive. Kind of. Regardless of what you think or not there are active artists and an audience in the fandom willing to consume content related to the series, so the topic is going to be discussed, like it or not.

While I am have not replied at the time, please know that I did, in fact, read your response and gain a bit of knowledge from it. I was just looking through some links and found this again, so, I’d like to thank you for your response and information.
I understand, that my questioning and phrasing may have seem rather harsh, however I choose to be very direct and to the exact point I’m seeking to learn more about, at times. That’s because there’s always someone like you, who’ll provide an actual answer to my inquiry.
Basically, if someone wants to know, why don’t they just ask?

The politics thread is full of people either praising the assassination, or making fun of people for condemning it, and even praising politicians who make fun of it.
5 years later, nothing has changed in that site. Nothing ever will. It’s useless to try to help them.

So I recently looked at the politics thread on Derpibooru, and the most recent page is full of users complaining about people getting fired for celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death, saying it’s wrong to lose your job simply because of what you say on social media. Yes, they’re seriously arguing this after years of their side advocating for the exact same thing. One user is even straight up denying anything like this has happened before. Thankfully, there is someone there calling the users out, as well as saying their views on politics go against the values that the fandom established, but I have a feeling he’s gonna get torn to shreds.

After looking through places like this thread, the Morning and Nightly Discussions on Equestria Daily, and the brony sides of Twitter/X and Bluesky, it really disappoints me that so many members of the fandom that’s about love, acceptance, and trying to understand people who think differently than you is so quick to burn bridges with friends and family who disagree with them, as well as call for and celebrate the deaths of those with opposing views. I wish more of the fandom would actually have productive conversations with the opposite side, instead of immediately declaring them their enemy and trying to destroy them. That’s literally what the villains on Friendship is Magic do, and completely goes against the principals that the show stands for.
And then we get this glorious response.

And just which “side” are you talking about here? You talking about marginalized groups expressing happiness Kirk is dead? He spent a literal decade calling for violence against them. I think they’ve earned the right to be happy he can’t hurt them anymore.
“Love and tolerate” does NOT apply when someone literally wants me dead. Fuck them.
I would attempt to challenge this, but the people of that thread have demonstrated such profound ignorance that it is pointless. A casual talk with the other side, or an honest investigation into Kirk’s statements, would be enough to inform them that Charlie Kirk did not want gays dead. But since this never occurred to anyone in that thread before, I doubt that they will be swayed.

Yeah, he didn’t really believe the horrible shit he said, he just had to get his nut, and ragebait pays very well, so that’s what he did.
But, in my opinion, it’s a distinction without difference whether he was a genuine bigot or if he was just pretending to be a bigot in order to get seven figures. The results were the same.
