@Dex Stewart
They’re good at hiding and denying their biases better than most other community moderations, I’ll have to say that. They make very opportunistic moves on those that happen to step out of line to make it seem like standard moderation procedure. But it doesn’t take a genius to see it.
The politics thread is clearly doctored. While they consistently barked at conservatives with more controversial views and stances. They do nothing about the left wingers who constantly lodge vitriol at those who disagree with them. In some cases, the mods not only enables this behavior. They partake in it.
And if you think the onsite thread is bad. You should see the shit they do on Discord from the behaviors they allow from those “in line” and the shit they do to those who try to argue with them on their Discord politics channel. They “warn” you first, but if you continue arguing against them they do everything they could to unfairly scrutinize you until they either mute or ban you for “reasons”.
And the “reasons” they always gave me whenever I pressed them on why thhere was little action on
left wingers those who violate the site rules. They tell me they “aren’t omnipresent enough”, and that we must report rule violations when we see it. (which I did before but they absolutely let the offending behavior of that particular user slide because “reasons”). Yet they’re “omniprescent” enough to seek out offenders on the right?
Thank goodness they aren’t RL police. Otherwise they’d be no different from those racial profiling cops. Except instead of profiling race, they profile one’s politics as grounds for police action.
It’s kind of ironic how the left barks at the police for “police brutality”. But they seem to be fine with biased moderation and excessive penalties on those who don’t align with them. Probably it’s because the police do not and should not kowtow to their style of politics or anyone’s politics for the matter. I bet you they wouldn’t be protesting “police brutality” if the cops are doing it in the name of their political ideology under that mentality. They’d be best friends with members of law enforcement in uniforms in that case.
