I actually agree. Well, I think a lot of people are happier when
some guardrails exist. Though different taste, and substantial values differences mean that one groups definition of polite can’t fully make everybody happy.

I know, I am often at those places as I never joined social media Mostly ghost towns. I find some places still left though that have somebody and sometimes are comfy but a whole lot more the sites I went to/liked were killed by the birth of Discord.

The internet was a wild west, but also, a million fiefdoms where many mods and website owners could power trip. So I can see where he comes from with that but I still consider the centralization of everything to be much worse.
