[bq]That is your personal belief. [/bq]Belief is for unverifiable and false things. Like "Bible is totally the word of God" as opposed to a collection of jewish folk tales, post-jewish folk tales, historical accounts, good life advice, bad life advice, _unbelievably terrible_ life advice, rules for regular christians, rules for priests, and other stuff from the last three thousand years or so (_arbitrarily assembled_ in the last 2000, which alone completely invalidates it as being anything but a creation of Man), out of 6000 years of existence of writing and 60000 years of existence of modern human. And a lot of people who wrote and/or edited it did so with express purpose of getting away with their shit, like anything about unconditional obedience or unconditional forgiveness for anyone worldly (including "conduits of God's will" like priests and prophets).
You want to follow it? No problem, even respectable if you inevitably cherry-pick the good parts
if you don't you end up DAESH
but it's about as trustworthy as any other collection of religious guidelines (such as Sumerian, Mayan, Hindu, Egyptian, Greco-Roman...) regarding how the world works spiritually.
[bq]they generally are talking about being unpleasant
[bq] if you make a mistake and disrespect someone who was actually not disrespectful, then you suddenly are the only bad person[/bq]Hence, asymmetrical (in)tolerance and asymmetrical disrespect bad.
