I read them here’s what I think:
 
1: I liked the story. My question is what did the silhouettes represent? Too me they represented death getting closer and closer due to the illness.
 
As to why it received a mediocre reception (this is just my opinion btw), I think its just because its about covid 19. I think people are just fed up with the illness and don’t want anything to do with it. That’s just my take on it.
 
2: Honestly, very well written. It definitely deserved the high score. You did a really good job building the world and characters. Also, the whole new chemical idea, not unbelievable. Also, being forced to kill you best friend and essentially their dreams is pretty powerful.
 
You should absolutely keep writing these I’d like to read more.

The first one did not have a theme. It was just an idea I came up with from being locked up with COVID-19 for a month. Maybe that is another reason it was more mediocre.

Here is my first CreepyPasta. I accidentally included a clip at the end of it that I did not mean to, and I went into the YouTube video editor to remove that, but it might take a few hours to process.

I think you got a good voice for the genre. I would however tone the background music down a bit. At times, it was pretty hard to hear you over the piano.

Well, yeah of course. The more you do it the easier it will get. even though I have no experience in this sort of thing if your really serious about it, I’d start advertising your YouTube everywhere. Put links in all your social medias and especially on the no sleep website. That’s your audience right there.

Is it better to include certain themes when writing a story?

What do you mean by certain?

I didn’t mean certain, I just meant a theme in general. Like, a story trying to be scary without some sort of narrative direction turns into the Human centipede. All spook and no substance. Is this observation correct?

I guess it really depends on the story. Some of the best pastas (ben drowned for example) really benefit from its theme. I would say that longer stories do need a theme. It helps the reader better connect with the story. However, for shorter stories, I don’t think its as important.
 
For example, your story on the war had a really good theme. I was able to better connect with his struggles and choices. ||also I’m surprised you haven’t made a video on it yet ||
 
I will admit however, that I’m kinda out of my comfort zone I don’t teach English classes. Maybe talk with mystic. He’s written a few books.

I’m not sure what you mean. How can a video do well if it hasn’t been made?

I just feel like if I make it right away, it won’t get as many views as if I make it when I have more traction.

That makes sense, but whats your plan on getting that traction? Do you have more stories, or do you plan on covering already written stories?
