I was just reading an interesting article describing the steps socialist economists go through when they see a socialist country like Venezuela.

1. The country shows early signs of success, and they praise it, saying how great Socialism is.

2. It starts to crumble. They question some of its policies.

3. It falls apart, and they claim it was either due to circumstances entirely out of the country's control, or even more commonly they claim that it was never true Socialism.

Juries are a tool of authoritarian oppression. The original purpose of the jury was to prevent the government alone from convicting citizens of crimes and to provide a final cheek on the power of government before it was allowed to actually affect citizens. However, over time, the increased power of judges, extensive use of jury selection, and reduction of the role of juries to essentially only selecting from options predetermined by a judge have made them nothing more than a rubber stamp for government over-reach. They allow illegitimate governments to enforce their laws by shifting blame to people purposely selected to not know any better. They're no longer juries, they're firing squads.

Live streamer Baked Alaska sentenced to 60 days in jail for streaming the J6 super party.
He was the one who called out Ray Epps as a fed before everyone was talking about him and his link with the feds. Ray Epps, for those who don't know, on the night before J6 attempted to instigate a crowd to enter the Capitol building. That is when Baked Alaska called him out. Later in that video, Epps is effectively seen at the front of a crowd which overturned metal barriers around the Capitol. This video has higher quality footage of that encounter between Epps and Baked. Epps confessed in a text message that he himself 'orchestrated' the riot.
Epps also attempted to frame Baked Alaska for the riot.

And where is Ray Epps? Not in prison, that's almost for sure. News outlets and democrats defend him and he hasn't been charged with any crime.
