It’s been down all day. Amazon, which owns the servers, gave them 24 hours to find new servers and move everything, which is impossible, and then shut them down permanently. Parler is now suing Amazon.

24 hours? Derpi only had a few terabytes of data iirc and it took the boorus nearly a week at best to finish copying data after launch. How is a social media service supposed to do anything in 24 hours?

They’re not, that’s the point. Amazon, Google, and Apple teamed up as an illegal criminal racket (they own all three branches of government now so no one will stop them) to kill their fastest growing competitor.

Parler was pretty much the only viable Twitter competitor. They didn’t allow hardcore porn like Twitter does but they allow you to oppose circumcision (which is I guess what got Molyneux banned) and believe in interdimensional alien pedophiles (which is I guess what got Alex Jones banned).
 
For what it’s worth I typically get 1-10k “impressions” a day on Twitter and managed to get 51 followers before several were banned, I guess, bringing me down to 43 in one day. On Parler, “the free speech alternative” I only had 8 followers and was lucky if anyone saw my “parlays” (tweets) at all. I was just there to have a presence on every antisocial media site. I only went there once a month or so.

They’re nazis and it’s the purge of the opposition. However, if you want real popcorn, wait until the Night of Long Knives 2: Electronic Boogaloo, aka the purge of members of revolution who’ve outlived their usefulness (and are trying to do revolution again “the right way”).

I want to watch how the left and the right destroy themselves and leave normal people who dont want nothing with politic live their life peacefully.

It would still happen. People are inherently tribal and WILL form groups of shared interest. Even if you outlawed it, they’d still do it.

The point isn’t to prevent groups of shared interest, the point is to make sure the groups in power have shared interest of betterment of the country, as opposed to lining their pockets or getting drunk with power or betraying the country to foreign power.

Extremely unlikely. The best you could do if that’s your goal would be to try to flood the halls of power with so many parties that none of them can gain enough concentrated power to do significant damage.
