Big Bad Politics!

The Pentagon has rejected a request from Washington DC’s mayor for help in dealing with thousands of undocumented migrants who have been transported to the city from border states.
Arizona and Texas say the buses are being routed to the US capital and New York City to spread out the burden of unprecedented migration.
New York officials accuse them of using “human beings as political pawns”.
Migration across the US-Mexico border has surged to record levels.
Conservatives have slammed the immigration policies of US President Joe Biden, a Democrat, including his efforts to lift a pandemic-related order that has kept out most asylum seekers.
On Friday it emerged that the US Department of Defense has rejected Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser’s request for National Guard troops to help process the migrants.
Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin said the troops’ “readiness” might be affected if they were diverted to assist with the reception of migrants to the city, a US defence official told Reuters news agency.
In a news conference on Friday, Mayor Bowser, a Democrat, said the city would resubmit “a more specified request for help”, and continue to work towards converting the DC Armory or nearby military bases into migrant processing centres.
The mayor said migrants were being “tricked” into making the journey, calling their arrival a “crisis” for the city.
She accused the Republican governors of Arizona and Texas of “cruel political gamesmanship” and said they had “decided to use desperate people to score political points”.
On Friday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott said he had started to send buses carrying migrants to New York City. He has already sent at least 5,200 migrants to Washington since April.
About 50 migrants from Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras and Venezuela alighted in midtown Manhattan at Port Authority Bus Terminal.
They included a family of four from Colombia, who ended up at a homeless centre in the Bronx. One of them, mother-of-two Leidy, told Reuters: “It’s a little easier to enter the country now. Before it was very hard to come here with children.”
Governor Abbott said President Biden’s “refusal to acknowledge the crisis caused by his open border policies” had forced Texas to “take unprecedented action to keep our communities safe”.
He said that New York and Washington DC were ideal destinations as self-proclaimed sanctuary cities - Democratic-led jurisdictions around the US that limit their co-operation with federal immigration law enforcement.
Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, also a Republican, has already sent around 1,000 migrants to Washington DC. The governors say the journeys are voluntary, and are an effort to help reunite families in the US.
On Friday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre called the bus trips “shameful” and a waste of taxpayers’ dollars.
Officials have declined to specify the financial cost of the bus journeys. In June, a Texas TV network put the costs at about $1,400 (£1,150) per traveller.
Reap what you sow, Muriel.

Retards off Facebook believe whatever they see, be it Biden being a ditz or UFOs abducting their pets. Maybe get off your computer and talk to old folk and you’ll see how gullible and impressionable they are. Though I imagine you’ll just lean into the lies they’ve been fed to make sure they don’t dare vote the wrong way.
Your first two sentences are almost entirely anecdotal. We can make claims like that all day long and not get anywhere.

Also, what exactly would lead you to imply that I’m a partisan? Do you know what they say about people that assume?

Because I think that if you immediately jump to a criticism of your lord(s) and savior(s) and “terminally online”, “get off your computer”, and “make sure they don’t vote the wrong way” are among your panoply of thoughts relating to the poster, you might want to go look for a job at a drive-in theater because you are projecting really hard.

Might also want to take your own advice there, lad. I bid you goodnight (or day), and I’m sure we’ll be chatting again.

Oh yeah, it’s really funny when politicians act as coyotes and use impoverished desperate immigrants as peons in political games. That these are actual people whose lives are being further ruined as they’re ferried off as a political stunt attack means nothing so long as it gets some libtards mad, right?

Well obviously it’s funny to the average rashist, given your sadist fetishisms and inability for any sort of empathy.

I’d be surprised you were still posting here and not lining up at a recruitment center, if it wasn’t how well known your type are all just cowards content with sending caucasians and siberians to kill and die for you instead.

I bet you respond to anyone saying they’d like things in the US with “move elsewhere if you don’t like it here!” and see no irony in it.

I, personally, think that those who don’t like it here and whine about the US should be either killed or enslaved. Leftists can either be hunted down and exterminated by specialized militias or captured and placed in labor camps to work for the rest of us. They claim to be oppressed, let’s give them some actual oppression. Antifa and blm losers should just be gunned down in the streets, woke officials should be removed at gunpoint from their positions and woke companies should be burnt to the ground. Individuals, who fly a pride or blm flag, should have their windows shattered and their lives threatened.

Bottom line, certain people can’t be trusted with too much freedom. Just look at the current state of society and you’ll understand why.

Too bad. They chose to enter the country illegally. And the politicians who talked so highly about how they’re so welcome are now learning what it’s like to have their neighborhoods flooded by illegal aliens. They’re learning what the border towns have been suffering through. Maybe next time they’ll think twice before lecturing the rest of the country about being tolerant and welcoming.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Sunday slammed Texas Gov. Greg Abbott for sending migrants on buses to Democratic-run cities in the U.S., calling Abbott’s actions “unimaginable.”
Adams made the remarks Sunday as he greeted a bus carrying 14 asylum seekers from Texas border towns at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Their arrival followed 40 others who arrived on Friday.
It is just a small portion of asylum seekers that have been transported from border towns since April, when Abbott began putting migrants on buses to Democrat-run cities after Biden’s efforts to end Title 42, a pandemic-related emergency policy that enables border agents to expel migrants quickly.
After welcoming the families to New York City, Adams slammed Abbott for using the families as political pawns.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams greets asylum seekers at Port Authority Bus Terminal Official New York City government Twitter
“When you think about this country, a country that has always been open to those who are fleeing persecution and other intolerable conditions, we’ve always welcomed that,” Adams said. “This governor is not doing that in Texas, but we are going to send the right message, the right tone, of being here for these families.”
Adams said some of the families on the bus were forced to be there and not allowed to go where they wanted.
“This is horrific when you think about what the governor is doing, the governor of Texas, after months of traveling across the border, placing them on the bus with no direction,” Adams said.
In a statement on Friday, Abbott defended Operation Lone Star, claiming it has filled in the “dangerous gaps left by the Biden Administration’s refusal to secure the border.”
“Since the launch of Operation Lone Star, the multi-agency effort has led to more than 290,700 migrant apprehensions and more than 18,000 criminal arrests, with more than 15,400 felony charges reported,” Abbott’s statement read. “In the fight against fentanyl, DPS has seized over 325.9 million lethal doses throughout the state. Texas has also transported over 6,500 migrants to the nation’s capital — and now New York City — since beginning the busing mission in April to provide much-needed relief to our overwhelmed border communities.”
On Friday, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin rejected a request from D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser for the National Guard to help receive migrants bused to Washington, D.C.
The Pentagon said that providing the requested support would negatively impact the readiness of the D.C. National Guard and have adverse effects on the guard and its members, a U.S. defense official said in a statement.
This is horrific? No, this is fantastic. This is how you compel an apathetic Federal government to act.

Share the burden. That is fair. Don’t like it? Register your complaint with 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, not Austin. Though I imagine registering a complaint will go over like an iron balloon.

NEW YORK – A second bus carrying migrants arrived Sunday in Manhattan from Texas.
It continues the fight between Gov. Greg Abbott and Democratic cities over immigration policy. CBS2’s Astrid Martinez spoke with immigration advocates on how this is impacting local services, all while the migrants are caught in the middle.
“We are here welcoming the new immigrants from Texas,” taxi driver Richard Chou said.
New York immigrants greeted the busload of asylum seekers, which included men, women and children.
“I’m from Haiti and I am welcoming these people to New York City because that also hurting me the way Texas treats my own Haitian people,” one person said.
The Port Authority Bus Terminal has become the center of an immigration confrontation. Abbott, a Republican, has been moving asylum seekers from overwhelmed border towns and busing them to New York City and other Democratic cities. Fourteen migrants arrived on Sunday, following 40 on Friday.
“We’re finding that some of the families that are on the bus that wanted to go to other locations and they were not allowed to do so. They were forced on the bus,” Mayor Eric Adams said.
Adams blasted Abbott’s busing effort.
“It is unimaginable what the governor of Texas has done,” Adams said. “When you think about this country, a country that has always been open to those who are fleeing persecution and other intolerable conditions, we’ve always welcomed that. This governor is not doing that in Texas, but we are going to send the right message, the right tone, of being here for these families.”
“This is horrific when you think about what the governor is doing, the governor of Texas, after months of traveling across the border, placing them on the bus with no direction,” Adams added.
The mayor greeted the migrants on Sunday morning in a show of support. He is also calling on the federal government to help pay for resources and services the city will need.
The city’s Department of Homeless Services has been struggling to meet demand.
“Fortunately, because it’s New York they’ve been getting as much services as they can at the time, but it’s really hard because there’s so much need for them, housing and food,” said Judy McQuistion, a volunteer at Al Otro Lado.
Immigration advocates say there needs to be coordination between states and agencies or havoc will ensue.
In June, CBS2 reported on a newly arrived migrant family that was separated at a shelter The workers lost the family’s grandmother for nearly two weeks. She was later found at a Harlem hospital.
“When that family was processed, they didn’t handle it appropriately, obviously correctly, and hopefully they’re going to be more careful this time,” McQuistion said.
The migrants that just arrived will also need help from the city to navigate the courts. Since they have been processed by Customs and Border Protection, they are in this country legally as asylum seekers and need their work permits.
I am sure the taxpayers of NYC will be thrilled.

Also… holy shit, he’s mad after just 2 buses? Why are the leaders of self-proclaimed “sanctuary cities” so upset about illegals being bused to their cities?
