@Terminal Red
Oooh, it’s so dynamic to have a bunch of thugs break into your house and go “surrender your company to us or we kill your family”!
Free market resulting in anything but a monopoly is delusional, more specifically, a delusion of people magically
not taking actions they’re absolutely free to take (no regulation = nothing preventing them from doing it) to knock off the competition.
P.S. Market is defined by the people and companies who patricipate in it. They are not interested in “quick changing” one that can remove their power and control. And if you only allow people who
are interested in that in? SURPRISE YOU HAVE JUST INTRODUCED A REGULATION YOUR MARKET IS NO LONGER LAISSEZ-FAIRE!
@Anonymous #372F
They’re founded on exact same error: thinking that people will magically stop bribing, racketeering, murdering, coercing and plain ol’ EEEing when there’s nothing preventing them from doing so.
P.P.S. I have realized that both of these are caused by same cancerous thing:
rejection of personal responsibility, metastasizing into assumption that NOBODY ELSE has any personal responsibility either and every action is caused by someone or something else, not the person’s own volition. “Remove regulation and people will magically stop doing what regulation is made to prevent”. “Remove personal property and people will magically stop trying to take what others own”. “Remove laws and people will magically stop doing crimes that the laws are describing”.
Suffice to say, that is not how the reality works.
Personal volition, and consequently personal responsibility, exists. A monopolist establishes a monopoly because
he wants to establish a monopoly (and have sole control over something). A company owner robs workers because
he wants to rob workers (and get all that money and power it represents for himself). A burner, looter, murderer burns, loots and murders because
he wants to burn, loot and murder. Their actions are caused by their own choice, not by any external pressure: external pressure
prevents those actions instead.
