Maybe you should go to their support on Discord, or ask them in a Site Thread, rather than just setting your avatar to an image and then asking after if that is okay.
How do mods decide when comments on an image should be locked? Are there certain criteria that have to be fulfilled, or do you just get a feeling that something has become a magnet for spam?
@Twiface
Not really. It was just one dude that we moonbanned.
We mostly just lock things when they become too much work to moderate. Say if there are two parties in a flame war and neither will shut the fuck up and instead keep reporting the others’ comments. For example.
Hypothetically, if a user of this site were to upload an image to this site (such as a low effort edit made as a joke, devoid of any legitimate artistic value) that they created themselves (but had no ‘artist’ tag since they’re not a verified artist) but later regretted it because they realized that they “posted cringe,” could they submit a takedown request on the grounds that the image is ‘cringe?’ Would such a request be honored?
