Original Description:
Story - Applebucking a Tree With Leaves?
Summary: It is autumn, and Applejack is ready for some applebucking towards the trees in Burlington, Vermont, which contains leaves. Fluttershy and Rainbow are impressed with this, but Rarity doesn’t agree, who only remembers that Applejack usually kicks trees with apples in them.
“Sweet Celestia, I’m all fired and just wanna kick these gosh darn trees very hard!” Applejack said with excitement, as she planned on bucking the trees in Burlington, Vermont for the autumn season.
“Are you really gonna be kicking those trees with leaves?” Rarity asked, who, alongside Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, is walking behind her, as she never recalled a time that Applejack has kicked a tree with no apples. “Don’t you usually be kicking trees with apples in them? That’s where I remember.”
“Believe it or not, Rarity, she’s a good kicker!” Rainbow Dash told Rarity, as she mostly considers Applejack the best kicker in Equestria.
Fluttershy, looking a bit less shy and more relaxed, was flying and flapping her wings gently while she looked up in the air and saw the precious leaves in the trees matching the current season, autumn. “I can’t believe the autumn season is so cool.” She said, feeling the breeze and could not help herself.
“At least we don’t have Twilight and Pinkie with us.” Rarity told Fluttershy and Rainbow, as she noticed the neither showed up at all.
“Maybe they’ll be with us next time we visit this place?” Fluttershy wondered, as she knows that Twilight and Pinkie have been in Burlington with them before.
The three eventually dropped the topic and let it go, meaning that they would focus on Applejack kicking the trees with her hooves and send the leaves straight on down into the ground.
“Come on, cowgirl! I know you can…!” Applejack told herself, as she was prepared to kick the first tree with an all-mighty kick with her hooves. When she kicked it, the leaves shook, but they did not come down.
“Seriously, darling?” Rarity questioned, as she really didn’t like the fact that Applejack kicks trees with no apples in them, like the way it happens in Ponyville.
Nevertheless, Rainbow and Fluttershy are still amused, as they believe the leaves can be coming down any second.
“Hey, they’ll come down.” Rainbow Dash told Rarity.
“Like she said!” Applejack added, waiting for the leaves to come down at any moment. Suddenly, a couple leaves begin falling down, leaving Rainbow and Fluttershy happy, although Rarity was still somewhat feeling the same way.
“How did you…?” Rarity asked, now having a shocked look on her face over what Applejack has just done.
“I told you I can kick those darn trees without apples!” Applejack said with confidence in herself, pretty sure she is being honest. “If I can buck a tree with apples, then it’s possible for me bucking one with leaves!”
Rarity somehow believed in Applejack, smiling directly at her. “Still, I don’t remember seeing you kick trees with leaves in the past.” She said, as she only remembers Applejack kicking a tree with just apples in them. “But I suppose you are correct anyway. You might be even having a contest with Rainbow Dash over who can kick trees the most.”
“What? No way!” Rainbow Dash denied, rejecting Rarity’s decision about a contest over who can kick trees the most. “Me and that cowgirl are definitely not having a competition over who kicks trees better! I barely can do the same kicking style as her!”
“Exactly the reason why I’m stronger.” Applejack spoke with a brave tone where, in her opinion, she is the better one.
“Oh, like you’re the one who gotta defend yourself against me!” Rainbow Dash argued, letting her rivalry with Applejack occur again. “I have wings and you don’t. I fly faster, I run faster, and have the greatest speed out of anyone.”
Fluttershy stepped in and told the two, “Girls, don’t get so heated with one another. There’s no reason we should be arguing.”
“Fluttershy’s right, darlings.” Rarity told Applejack and Rainbow Dash, as Fluttershy does have a point. “You both have been showing rivalry towards each other for twelve years, and still can’t let the never-ending conflict among yourselves go.”
“Me and you also have a frenemy relationship.” Applejack protested, as she has also clashed with Rarity from time through time and eventually showing bitterness towards each other.
“Okay, we get it.” Rainbow Dash said in annoyance.
The arguing ended, and Applejack resumed kicking more trees one at a time. The leaves started falling from every tree that Applejack has kicked, leaving her friends happy.
“You doing good, cowgirl!” Rainbow Dash shouted with excitement towards Applejack, who’s been doing so good kicking trees around the area. “Keep on going, girl! You are the best!”
“Thanks, Rainbow!” Applejack replied, accepting her for trusting her about kicking trees that will have leaves falling to the ground from the start.
And so, after Applejack was done kicking trees, she felt so happy that today was like “Applebucking Day” in her case, though her friends doubt that it was just about bucking those trees.
“We should come back the next time we visit this place.” Rarity told the group, sitting down and laughing, knowing they will do something different in Burlington next time.
