And so the idea came to fruition.  
It began in the morning, a sunny day arrived and Cozy Glow lead Flurry Heart down into where Queen Chrysalis was being held. Flurry Heart made sure to start off careful, merely offering a trip outside so she wasn’t stuck in a cell all day. Chrysalis begrudgingly agreed, heading to the Canterlot Gardens with the two of them. Chrysalis asks why Flurry bothered trying to reform her and Cozy Glow, and she responded.
 
“ Well, I’ve heard the stories about Aunt– I mean, Twilight Sparkle. I’ve heard about her and her friends, and their encounters with each of you. You… Invaded Canterlot in the first place because you wanted to feed your hive, and, if you ignore that you’re forcefully feeding off of ponies love, it honestly just seems like you’re a queen trying to take care of her subjects! Cozy Glow is just a filly- she has a whole lot of time ahead of her too! I don’t know much about Tirek, but I’m sure he has reasons for doing what he did as well. From what Cozy told me, you three made quite the team! I just… Didn’t want your own friendship to be split forever. “
 
Chrysalis could’ve sworn she felt something in her chest as Flurry spoke those words. It didn’t help that they began spending more time together in the gardens, Flurry Heart beginning to excitedly tell every tale she knows of Twilight and her friends and what friendship has done to the world. Chrysalis, if only for a moment, finds herself listening. Being treated as a new friend rather than a queen to be feared was new, and as much as she would never admit it, it wasn’t the worst feeling in the world.
 

 
Covid may be out of my body but the troubles of general life remains, including but not limited to- school. Luckily though, I managed to get this done for those who stuck around. Hope you haven’t been waiting too long for more of the Metamorphosis arc.
