With the end of the hour fast approaching, you spend what time you have left readying yourselves for Moonflower’s big moment.
 
Before you leave the house, you offer the bat pony some final words of encouragement, and a kiss for good luck, which she returns eagerly.
 
Moonflower: “Heehee…! Oh yeah, Basket — hold onto this for me, won’t’cha?”
 
Moonflower puts her trusty cap on Apple Basket’s head — and a smooch on his snout for good measure —, then she leads the party outside.
 
Moonflower: “Okay, let’s go!”
 
You sit next to Moonflower before a crowd of no more than two dozen bat ponies, though you can’t quite discern any of their faces. The Yggdrasil seed rests in your hooves, its faint glimmer the brightest source of light nearby.
 
Elder: “Welcome all. As some of you have already foreseen, I have summoned you here this evening to announce that my time as Oracle of the Starfalls Clan has finally passed.”
 
You hear a few whispers. Then, the elder steps aside, and gestures to the two of you.
 
Elder: “But not all is lost, for a new heir has proven herself worthy. I present Moonflower the Chosen One.”
 
Moonflower: “Uh… hi! It’s me! And this is the Yggdrasil seed that my friends and I worked super hard to get for the next Oracle’s Eye. So yeah! I hope that you’ll accept me as the next Oracle, and that we can all get along!”
 
As Moonflower speaks, the Yggdrasil seed begins to glow brighter, and you instinctively hold it up high.
 
Then, a flash of light blinds you briefly, and causes the crowd to gasp in surprise. By the time you are able to see again, you find Moonflower in a trance, pure white light beaming from her wide open eyes.
 
A moment passes, then the light fades, leaving behind a lingering orange glow, and a stunned expression. You hear more lively whispers.
 
Moonflower: “Whoa…! What jus’ happened?”
 
Elder: “Rejoice, my child! The stars have heard your voice, and gifted upon you your first vision as the new Oracle of the Starfalls Clan.”
 
Moonflower: “Oracle? I’m the new Oracle? Eeeeee‼ I’m the new Oracle! I did it! Are my eyes glowy?”
 
Elder: “Yes… indeed. Now, tell us, what did you see?”
 
Moonflower: “Oh! Uh… it went by so fast! I saw the Yggdrasil seed, it was here in Starfalls Town. But the town was different. There were all kinds o’ ponies and other creatures visitin’, and enjoyin’ the springs.
 
Then I saw outside. There were roads and signs leadin’ to our town, and to all the other bat pony towns, too. I saw bat ponies walkin’ and flyin’ under the moonlight, all over Equestria.
 
And then, there was some sorta evil cloud far away in the distance, tryin’a get closer. But everypony stood in the way together, so it couldn’t. That’s what I saw.”
 
As you listen to Moonflower’s recounting of her vision, you can’t shake the distinct feeling that you are being watched.
