Emerald takes a few deep breaths to calm down. He then quickly looks around the deck to make sure Joyride isn’t there. She probably wouldn’t like what just happened.
 
Emerald then decides to go practice magic downstairs in the cargo hold again. However after pushing a few boxes around he finds himself still… Distracted.
 
Emerald then decides to go check up on Ruby, and maybe quiz her a bit on what she has learned.
 
Emerald peeks his head inside the kitchen door and sees the chef at a pot boiling something, and Ruby sitting nearby peeling potatoes.
 
She has a look of concentration on her face, only broken when Emerald approaches and says hi.
 
“Oh, hey!” Ruby says, giving him a quick smile before returning to her task, “What’s up?”
