@NotYourAverageLurker
When I’m not being told that I should start a Twitter account I’m hearing about how miserable an experience using Twitter is. Seems like not bothering with it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
@Officer Hotpants
You’re not wrong. It’s complete shit for what people are trying to use it for. I suggest only using it if you need to announce things, like if you’re about to stream, take requests, or maybe blog about a project. but if you don’t really do any of those things it’s useless. Especially so for artists, since the platform favors low quality consistency than bumping out something you worked hard on for a week or two.
@Rhorse
Remind me why all the Tumblr artists moved to Twitter when the former commit sudoku? By very essence Twitter is TERRIBLE for artists, even without all the stupid clout junk that ruins people’s lives. Honestly I wonder if moving to Twitter was a worse move than staying on Tumblr.
I got my little piece into the Marenheit comic. Satisfied but I still think I could do a bit better. For the longest time I wanted to do digital art but a pad without a display is a lot of frustration, for me at least.
I guess Gelbooru just went to shit. They seem to have rewritten their rules to ban anything not-Japanese. It looks like they went and purged the site of all art, cosplay photos included, that wasn’t done by a Japanese person. Looks like I won’t be bothering with that site anymore. It’s TBIB for me from now on.
>some guy in a youtube comments section asks for list of racist conservatives
>immediately some other guy delivers
>Steven King literally the first guy on the list
I’ve done it, I found the worst political take of all time. The most insufferable bleeding heart liberal is suddenly magically a racist conservative for some reason, all according to a youtube comment.
@Officer Hotpants
I went on there last night and it redirected to the rules page where that was front and center. Then I started browsing and saw how much was suddenly missing. Maybe it was always written that way, but now they’re enforcing and a whole lot just vanished.
TBIB is The Big Image Board. It’s a booru that scrubs a number of other boorus and other sites automatically. In fact, manual uploading is impossible there, all it does it automatically pick up anything uploaded to its source sites. It has everything Gelbooru ever had and quite a bit more.
@Mitchy
Is that what happened? I was wondering. Initially I thought someone was hitting pony sites but then I tried logging into Discord to ask if anyone else was having trouble and that was down, too.
@Mitchy
The internet needs more decentralisation. That’s why there’s so many chokeholds nowadays with over reliance on the services of one specific site or server.
